The future is here
Change the numbers – change the world! 🌍 We are always searching for smarter, more eco-efficient ways to help leading companies face major challenges in a constantly changing world. Smart utilisation of resources is necessary to become more sustainable. Sanitary systems by Jets® facilitate reuse of water and waste by effectively separating greywater from blackwater. With low water consumption, reduced sewage volumes, source separation compatibility and less use of energy, our vacuum systems are beneficial both for building owners and the environment. Wood chip screeners are a vital part of our composting operation. By breaking down waste wood into small, evenly-sized chunks, we can spread it over compost piles to create a 'biofilter.' This biofilter contributes to the breakdown process by providing a carbon fibre base for pore space, and it also helps seal in odours. We source wood for chipping mostly from construction and demolition, but almost any non-treated wood is suitable. It's part of our philosophy of 'no waste gone to waste,' saving wood from landfills or burning to contribute to a new, green cyclical way of waste handling. #CircularEconomy #ReUse #Composting

While it undoubtedly plays a pivotal role in mitigating environmental impact, the benefits of reuse extend far beyond carbon reduction. Principal Consultant at Resource Futures, Dr Nirmala Menikpura, writes for the 2024 Materials Recycling World (MRW) Handbook on the multifaceted advantages of reuse, with its positive implications for the environment, economy, society and the preservation of vital resources. The MRW Handbook gives valuable facts, figures, data, and expert opinion to help the waste and resources sector to operate effectively.

The waste hierarchy pyramid is organised in order of environmental impact, but the layers shouldn’t be viewed in isolation 💡 While there are ‘most’ and ‘least’ favoured options from an environmental standpoint, none of the layers can mitigate the waste crisis on their own. Real impact comes when they’re fully connected 🔍 Learn how waste data insights and waste intelligence can inform the vital layers of reduce, reuse and recycle — cutting the amount of material sent to landfills and incinerators — on our blog 👇 https://lnkd.in/evKfn8P4
