"The Next Gen to This Gen: Scaling Material Innovations in the Fashion Sector" report is a must-read. The comprehensive study is put together by Sustainabelle Advisory Services founded by Christine Goulay with the support of various industry experts, . The report, based on insights from 62 expert interviews and feedback from 157 stakeholders, offers a comprehensive overview of the roadblocks and advancements in the fashion industry, specifically focusing on material innovations. It discusses how "Next Gen" materials, which are renewable, have the potential to transform the industry by reducing dependence on finite resources like petroleum, minimizing the impact on land and water, and promoting circular production methods and design. The report also delves into challenges like off-take agreements and investments/commitments from brands, while sharing valuable case studies. PYRATEX® was honoured to be a part of this report and contribute to the interviews.     💡The opportunity for companies to achieve their sustainability goals leveraging #RAINRFID is enormous. However, despite its widespread use across industries, the connection between RAIN RFID and sustainability is still in its infancy. In the recent report Bridging the Gap: Connecting Corporate Sustainability with RAIN RFID the research finds there are multiple potential sustainability use cases for RAIN RFID application: new service models, enabling sorting and recycling through product composition information, improving supply chain traceability, collection of environmental information to track and report on CO2 reduction, etc. In addition, the business case for incorporating RAIN RFID is strong, contributing to company efficiencies along the supply chain, reducing shrinkage at retail, and powering new consumer interactions.
