Excited to see that G2 has officially revamped its Low-Code Development Platform category -> https://lnkd.in/eH5xd4BU! Over the past month, Brad Menezes, Cheryl Wolf, and I have partnered with Adam Crivello of the G2 team to help redefine this category so it’s most relevant for buyers looking for a solution in our space. The category now has clear inclusion criteria that match what we hear from speaking to hundreds of customers and prospects looking for a solution in our space: ✅ Be designed for use by developers and other technical and semi-technical teams ✅ Offer a visual UI builder ✅ Integrate with production databases and software as a service (SaaS) providers ✅ Allow developers to write custom frontend and backend code using modern programming languages ✅ Support git-based source or version control by connecting to git providers ✅ Offer out-of-the-box audit logging and observability The low-code space has evolved significantly over the past decade, making it difficult for software aggregation platforms like G2 to keep up. When we first started working with the G2 team at Superblocks, we quickly realized that this category wasn’t specific enough - it included products with one-off low-code or no-code features, rather than focusing on true development platforms intended for building complex custom business software. Businesses evaluating low-code development platforms like Superblocks are searching for a platform that enables engineering and other technical teams to build custom, full-stack business applications more efficiently than DIY development. As the world’s largest and most trusted software marketplace, it’s critical that G2’s categories map to what buyers are looking for. Based on these changes, G2 has cut the number of vendors in this category from 290->82, a >70% reduction in the category size. A smaller category with tighter inclusion criteria means a better experience for G2 users, and a higher likelihood that buyers can identify the right platform for them. Congrats to Adam Crivello and the G2 team on this milestone!

First off, huge congrats! Cool to see how far Superblocks is coming. I'm planning on doing a review/tutorial on Superblocks soon. Is it just me, or is this G2 list all over the place? UIPath (RPA) is the leader, but Retool is in the lower-left? Glide is considered low code?
