We contribute to the sustainable development of communities wherever we operate. This means, for example, promoting access to essential services. In Manila metropolitan area, Philippines, we are supporting rapid population growth by providing access to potable water with 4 lines of Decentralised Compact Units, also known as UCDs®. These compact, modular solutions can be deployed much faster than a traditional drinking water production plant to meet urgent needs💧. The goal? To produce up to 80,000 m3 of water per day, for 900,000 people Stay tuned for more #SUEZSustainableStories! 🌿

🌊👏 Thrilled to announce the resounding success of the "Young Water Professionals Network 2023: Tackling Water Challenges in Viet Nam" sprint challenge! Huge thanks to the unwavering support from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), the Australian Water Partnership, Isle Utilities, the Department of Water Resources Management (DWRM), and other ministries under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE). The goal was to help young water professionals (YWP) learn, connect, and build cool solutions in a fun way. Mission accomplished! We've laid the groundwork for a YWP network under DWRM and MONRE. They tackled challenges like water scarcity, integrated water management, and climate change with three fantastic solutions. Here is a summary of those sprint challenges: 🏝️ Group 1 focused on enhancing ecosystems and natural resources on a group of islands, to increase surface area by 20% and address 20% of water shortages within 2 years. 💧 Group 2 tackled water scarcity in Vietnam's northern highlands, aiming to increase clean water capacity by 15% over the next 2 years. 🌊 Group 3 proposed innovative solutions for enhancing water storage capacity in the Mekong Delta, including tools for predictive management and community engagement, fostering a new era of water resource sharing. From combating water scarcity to integrated water management and climate change resilience, our YWPs showcased brilliance with three groundbreaking solutions. What's more, we prioritized inclusivity, ensuring all voices were heard through GEDSI (#GenderEquality, #Disability, and #SocialInclusion). 🌍🤝 In a nutshell, Viet Nam's YWPs are now equipped, connected, and poised to be true heroes in overcoming water challenges. Kudos to everyone involved! 🙌 #PartnershipsForRecovery #WaterHeroes #YWPWin Australian Water Partnership Alex CECH OLY
