Hunger relief organizations are in crisis. Especially those in rural areas. When I say hunger relief I mean the food shelves/pantries, school pantries and organizations doing the actual WORK Why are they in crisis? Answer: the need is the HIGHEST it’s ever been, they’re small organizations that don’t have the budgetary capacity to expand, they don’t have the human capacity to serve and the people above them making decisions don’t understand what is truly happening in rural communities nor do they have the compassion to physically come help. Our rural community organizations need help in every way possible. It’s time for us to show our human compassion and capabilities

In some parts of New York City, like the Bronx, it's even higher at 39%.
