Italy is a popular destination for students because of its culture, history, and diverse beauty. It has over 500 undergraduate and postgraduate programs taught in English, and the Italian government offers scholarships to foreign students. Here are some things to consider when studying in Italy: Tuition fees: Public universities are generally less expensive than private universities, and some offer partial or full tuition fee waivers. On average, undergraduate fees range from €5,000–€12,000 per year, and postgraduate fees range from €3,000–€40,000 per year. Scholarships: The Italian government offers scholarships to foreign students, and some public universities offer scholarships for students with low family incomes. 📢 Opportunities for Italian and foreign researchers, teachers, experts, personalities and cultural operators The Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation supports and encourages study and research activities carried out by Italian and foreign researchers, teachers, experts, personalities and cultural operators in Italy and abroad. The main aim of the grant is to encourage the development of strategic partnerships, cultural and scientific projects between foreign and Italian institutions in the medium and long term. ❓ Who is it for? The following can apply for a grant: • Foreign researchers, professors, experts, personalities and cultural operators invited to spend a period of stay at Italian universities or cultural institutions for study or research. The grant is paid as a lump sum and covers up to 10 days of activity in Italy (between 1.500 and maximum 3000 euros). • Italian researchers, teachers, experts, personalities and cultural operators invited to spend a period of stay at foreign universities or cultural institutions for study or research. The grant is paid exclusively for partial coverage (between 1.500 and maximum 3000 euros) of travel expenses. 📧 How to ask for the grant Candidates can apply for the grant, drawn up according to the attached form and complete with the required documentation, by writing to the Italian Cultural Institute, to: [email protected]. ✏ Information and deadlines Activities are due to end no later than 15 November 2024. Furthermore, candidates have to send the documentation to the competent offices by the same deadline.
