Congratulations, STARK! 🤩👏 We are delighted to share that our long-time client, STARK, has been recently nominated for the prestigious ESG-themed FINANS IMPACT Award, hosted by the prominent Danish business and finance publication, Finans. This award is annually bestowed upon businesses that demonstrate exceptional commitment and contributions to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices and sustainability. STARK is one of just four nominees in the category 'Finans Impact Climate Award' for 'STARK KlimaLog', an online platform providing STARK customers with a climate report on their orders—all in just a few clicks. This achievement underscores STARK's role as a trailblazer in implementing sustainable and climate-friendly business practices, setting an example for other companies. 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗴! 🌐💻 Today we have another free whitepaper from BVM Berufsverband Deutscher Markt- und Sozialforscher e.V. for you on our blog: 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆: 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵. Business and society are currently facing the greatest challenge since the Industrial Revolution. We are talking about the transformation to a sustainable society. But this involves nothing less than the remeasurement of the world. Because nothing will ever be the same again: experience, research results, previous benchmarks - everything is wastepaper and must be put to the test. Who else could do this but market and social researchers? The discipline will play a central role in the coming years. The 2024 German Market Research Congress is therefore dedicated to this topic: "The Sustainable Society: Successful Transformation through Market Research". 𝗘𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴!

We hosted the 26th Sustainable Business Roundtable (SBRT) at ESMT Berlin yesterday. Established in 2011, the SBRT serves as a peer-to-peer learning network for leading global companies actively involved in the sustainability transformation. 🌐✨ Here are the key insights from the discussions: 🌍 Global Challenges: Businesses must collectively address climate change, unsustainable consumption, and rising inequality, recognizing the human crisis is intertwined with the climate crisis. 🤝 Equality in Demand: 84% of consumers advocate for equal wages, reflecting a societal push toward fair compensation. 🎯 Strategic Sustainability Focus: Organizations aspiring to an inspirational social sustainability strategy should focus on societal, employer, and community responsibilities for a fair and equal society. 🔄 Holistic Business Impact: Ambitions need alignment with robust systems for human rights, responsible taxation, and material issues specific to each industry. Topics may include disaster recovery, sustainable housing, regenerative agriculture, responsible mining, or digital responsibility. Thank you to all speakers (Raji Jayaraman, Julia Olofsson, Jakob Berndt, Paula Byrne, Manuel Bougeard, Gabriel Moscovici, Marike Mehlmann-Tripp, Hanna Kehl, Sven Matika, Malte Will, Bas van Abel, Hans Reitz) for sharing your insights! Legal Counsel at Innoviz Technologies (NASDAQ:INVZ) │ Commercial | Regulation │ Civil & Administrative Litigation │ Mom of 2 (Red-Headed) Boys | Passionate about Women Leadership & Legal-Tech | Pilates Addict
“Let’s get this baby born” … Those were the words from our CEO, Omer David Keilaf, that kicked off the journey of publishing Innoviz Technologies’ first Impact Report. It took me a while to understand that he wasn’t kicking me out of his room; confident in the company’s impact, Omer just meant that every process needs to start at the beginning. Almost two years after this meeting, the report is published, and this baby is finally born! … This has been one heck of a ride creating the foundations for impact processes and reporting at Innoviz. We built an internal champions team, drafted the company’s ESG policy, tailored data collection processes to fit our company’s specific needs and internal procedures, and thoroughly screened our company’s activities and initiatives to reflect them comprehensively in the report. I’m proud to be part of a company that is pioneering advancements in autonomous driving and LiDAR technology. Innoviz is making a significant impact on road safety, the environment, and the communities we operate in by reducing the dependency on the human factor in driving. This couldn’t have been accomplished without the dedication and hard work of the internal champions team, our fantastic external counsels from Deloitte, Gal Harel and Michelle Arnold-Bachrach, and our talented graphic designer Orit Diment for bringing all this data together in such a nice graphic way! I’m grateful for the opportunity given to me to lead this journey, alongside ongoing legal consulting, and especially thankful to my managers, Dana Ofer-Nutkevitch and Eldar Cegla who trusted me throughout this process. I am also thankful for the opportunity to take an ESG management course at Tel-Aviv University - Lahav Executive Education at Tel Aviv University, which helped me to expand my knowledge in connection with ESG and grow my professional network. … Here’s to the start of something great – let’s keep this baby growing and continue bringing a positive impact to road safety! 🌍🚗 Kudos to the champions: Dafna Raz • Marina Shapiro Aidman • Efrat Rotem Lavi • Shiri Hilton • Inbar Golan • Elran Elmakis • Gili Amrani • Hanan Heilbut • Arkady Kunovsky • barak pnini • noam kercher • Shany Kaminer • Katherine Teresi • Moran Seror • Liron Pariente • Atar Shalev • Or Rozenberg • Devora Holder-Nuriel • Igal Muchnik • Michal Levi • Yoni Schoenfeld. 🚨 CSRD SOS – an urgent call to action from CSOs and practitioners 🚨 Online event: You’re invited to a session to discuss the realities of CSRD with your fellow practitioners Over the last three months we talked to more than 30 Chief Sustainability Officers and other sustainability and finance leaders to get a full picture on how different companies are grappling with the challenges of CSRD preparation, prompted by our own experience of working with companies trying to navigate this over the last year. Our research has revealed a clear disconnect. CSRD’s ambitions are vitally important, but its implementation is faltering. Practitioners hold the key to rescuing the regulation’s potential, but they’re struggling with overwhelming complexity, misaligned expectations, and wildly varying advice. We want to ensure that CSRD delivers on its ambitions and doesn’t end up receiving so much criticism, and is implemented so poorly or inconsistently, that it loses impact and credibility in the eyes of the companies implementing it. Our overall intention is to try to build some momentum around a constructive push-back to EFRAG, signalling the very real concerns and challenges that practitioners are seeing, and setting out some ideas about how these could be addressed. We’re hosting a virtual session that will bring together practitioners from large companies in the UK, EU and US to learn about the findings of our research, share perspectives and discuss the best and possible next steps to have these concerns and challenges represented. If you are an in-house Sustainability or finance practitioner either thinking about, or in the middle of CSRD preparations and would like to join the conversation please register your interest – contact details below. We need to limit spaces to keep the group relatively small and foster open, candid conversation - so please let us know asap if you’d like to join. (And we’re sorry but at this point we won’t be inviting in other consultants). Event details 📍 Location: Teams 📆 Date: 17th April 2024 ⏰ Time: 16:00 BST / 17:00 CET / 11:00 EST / 08:00 PST Register your interest by emailing us ➡️ [email protected]

Climate initiatives in the financial industry are merely greenwashing... or are they? This was the topic of discussion during our Chief Impact Officer Tobias Thorleifsson's recent visit to Econa and Dagens Næringsliv's Content Studio. Joined by Lars Erik Mangset (Grieg Investor) and Jon Hille-Walle (Nordea Asset Manager), we delved into: - The EU's Regulatory Role: How EU directives are enforcing stricter sustainability claims to prevent greenwashing. - Green Investments Market: The growing interest in green companies is expanding the market for sustainable investments. - Financial Returns vs. Climate Impact: Financial returns don't necessarily exclude climate impact; in fact, the two can complement each other. Watch the discussion here (in Norwegian): https://lnkd.in/d8eg-g4m and reach out to continue the conversation over a ☕ !

“How do you become a #circular organisation at a global level?” This opening question was raised by Vestre CEO Bjørn Fjellstad regarding their own sustainability journey in one of the first plenary discussions of the #SHUBSummit today. The questions led to a meaningful dialogue on scaling challenges from #reverselogistics, to local #regulatorychallenges in state jurisdictions which may not provide the same support structures as in Scandinavia. Moving through the day and the different parallel sessions, the program tackled thematic topics on #innovation, #regeneration and #strategy with inputs from multiple stakeholder perspectives: - #CivilSociety: Martin Rich from Future-Fit Foundation highlighted the excellent #sustainabilitystrategy of Scandinavian solar energy company Better Energy aiming to work in partnership with its 1000 suppliers in the solar industry to help them also become sustainable, in line with the #FutureFitBusinessBenchmark. - #Academia: Matthew Coffay at Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) stressed the need for companies to aim for #netpositiveimpact across all stakeholders in order to become truly regenerative businesses. - #Investor: Noting the role of the #DoubleMaterialityAssessment (DMA) as a tool for a further strategy discussion Linn Hege Aune of Investinor stated that clear measures on progress of target companies for investors are a) whether sustainability has been integrated in the #businessstrategy and b) if the company has then implemented follow up measures on sustainability to support those goals. - #Industry: Mai Lawson Oldgard of Statnett SF highlighted the role of the company’s 2022 #DMA on it’s #corporatestrategy. Moving to lessons learnt and how they informed Statnett’s 2023 DMA she told attendees how the company embraced the use of #AI to inform #stakeholderdialogue and conducted additional #internalengagement to overcome previous gaps in financial materiality understanding, leading to an altogether more robust corporate strategy. Thank you SustainabilityHub for a thought provoking day filled with plenaries, interactive workshops and networking breaks with world class thinkers, leaders and change makers! Position Green and I look forward to our next event on June 6 as a partner organisation of the Sustainability Hub Norway (S-HUB) Reporting Network.
