I love pointing to the successes in #medtech. Usually startups and emerging companies are easy examples as they are relatively linear in their growth. Today, would like to shine the light on a company that reinvented itself. Had heard about companies doing this in the past, this was the first time I knew the players involved. Pulse Biosciences, Inc. shifted their focus from an aesthetic indication to #PFA or pulse field ablation. Seismic in nature. Seems to be a combination of leadership, collaboration and sheer will that has brought them closer to success. To take this massive leap it took support from their board/investors (Bob Duggan) and the fortitude of their CEO at the time (Kevin Danahy) and the determination of the team (Darrin Uecker David Danitz Patty Perla, PHR William Knape Justin Lerman Mitch Levinson Mike Smith Vincent Havart ) to bring them to this point. 510k clearance and now first case under their belt. Blue skies ahead. Looking forward to watching Burke T. Barrett continue their momentum and take them to new heights. The financing enables Argá Medtech to advance the development of its innovative Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA) system for treating AF through the execution of an IDE study in the US and a CE Mark study in the EU. GS Capital Connect customer AI Medical Technology has closed a Seed funding round ! AI Medical Technology announced the successful closure of an oversubscribed bridge financing round worth SEK12 (US$1m). Funding was provided by existing investors, such as Northern Venture Northern CapSek Ventures, and new shareholders. PolyNovo, a young, rapidly scaling Australian biotech company has just delivered outstanding half-year results.  Their success is a great example lesson for businesses aiming to scale: working with their existing surgeon customers on new ways to deliver better health outcomes using the current products, whilst strategically expanding into new international markets.
