👏 CardioSignal by Precordior announced the closing of $10 million in Series A funding, led by DigiTx Partners, with participation from Sandwater and existing investor Maki.vc. David J. Kim, M.D., managing director of DIGITX, will be joining the board. To-date, CardioSignal has raised $23 million. It’s been quite a year for Cytovale, culminating in today’s exciting news that we announced another $84 million in funding with the closing of our Series C led by Norwest Venture Partners and joined by Sands Capital and Global Health Investment Corporation.    10 years ago we set out on a mission to unlock a new way to map diseases using host immune response diagnostics. We started with sepsis, the most deadly, costly, complex condition facing hospitals. Earlier this year, FDA cleared IntelliSep®, our early sepsis detection test which generates results in under 10 minutes using standard blood draws. In August, we commercially launched the test with our partner Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and are already seeing meaningful advances in both patient care and hospital resource use.   The biggest challenge with sepsis is early detection of this major medical emergency. Until IntelliSep, ED physicians have not had access to a rapid diagnostic technology that can enable a standardized care pathway to evaluate potentially septic patients. The resulting errors and delays in diagnosis are part of what drives sepsis to be the leading cost of hospitalization in the U.S, estimated at $62 billion annually. Today sepsis accounts for more than one-third of all in-hospital deaths.   We’re encouraged by the early clinical successes of Cytovale’s technology in patient settings and we’re eager to expand access to this potentially life saving test nationwide. Our new funding will support our commercial efforts as we bring IntelliSep to more hospital EDs and health systems across the U.S. It will enable us to arm more providers with informative data to make time-sensitive decisions and ensure patients are on the right care path.   I am incredibly proud of our team and grateful to our community of existing investors and supporters - thanks to each of you for your dedication and endless efforts to get to today. Today isn’t the pinnacle; rather, it marks the start of the next chapter in our journey together.
