While some Social Media Managers aim for around 10 hashtags, others like myself will go for about 2-3. They will be defined hashtags that have crucial meaning to the post itself. This should help with organic growth and reach overall. It is recommended to not overdo it when it comes to hashtags. The more the hashtags, the more it will overwhelm the user and put them off your posts. If you use hashtags, how many do you like to use per post? #TopTip #MarketingAdvice #SocialMediaHelp

I'm back to it now that my daughter is well, hence being quiet for a week or so. As we are in a new month and I have some new followers I thought I'd best say hello. I'm Rosie, the lady behind Strawberry Blonde and a freelance marketing specialist. I love all things marketing and enjoy analysing things like branding, advertisements and new product packaging. I think it's in my nature and my blood. I just did not realise it until I went to an open day at university before I studied as a full-time mature student. I love spending time with my lovely family and friends. I enjoy watching TV series and films as well as going to live music gigs (when I get the chance!). I used to play the acoustic drums when I was a teenager and was in a mixed band called The Hiccs, which if I remember rightly wasn't for too long. However, it was lots of fun, especially at practice. I'd love to get to know more about you, what's your favourite thing to do in your spare time? #KnowingMeKnowingYou #AboutMe #Introduction #Freelancing

Branding... You gotta be able to start from somewhere right? Every brand has a story, so if you can express that story and convey it well you will build on your branding and raise more brand awareness. Comment 'Logo' if you would like to know more about branding. #Marketingtoptip #branding

I started my maternity leave a few weeks before my due date but my little girl arrived later than expected, which is totally fine. This meant I had to cut my maternity leave shorter than I anticipated, meaning she went to nursery just as she turned 8 months old. I was gutted, absolutely gutted. I knew going to nursery would be a good thing and she would pick up many skills, make friends, etc. But in some ways, I felt saddened knowing I would not be with her every day, I almost felt torn, heartbroken even. I cried so hard when I had to leave her for the first day and I was gutted I had to go back to work. I felt like an imposter like I shouldn't have gone back to my job. It was such an odd feeling, I almost felt a little numb inside that I should have just been working in admin not marketing. Anyhow I returned to work on a 4-day working week which although is classed as part-time, it felt like I was working full time whilst trying to run a household and look after my daughter. Fast forward a few weeks and I got into the swing of things and really enjoyed getting some me time back. My little girl was happy enough at nursery which helped me feel confident and satisfied. I didn't feel torn unless she fell ill meaning I had to take time off to ensure she was okay and comfortable. Fast forward again and I'm currently working for myself and have been for the last nine months now. I'm absolutely loving it and life. I love the flexibility, being able to work around her but also spending more time with her than when I went back to work after mat' leave. I enjoy working. Although she is too little to understand that yet I hope she starts to understand in years to come that what I do is for her and my husband and to allow us to have a better life together. Do you agree with this? I'd love to know in the comments and thanks for reading if you have gotten this far!
