Communication Coach for ESL Healthcare Professionals to help build better relationships with patients, consistently deliver positive experiences and achieve professional excellence|Book strategy call with link below⬇️
In one of my recent lessons with a Japanese 🇯🇵 student, we covered the different ways in which he had to provide instructions on how to install and operate machinery and equipment to clients as part of his job in IT sales If we draw parallels with that concept in the space of communicating with our patients as healthcare professionals we have to routinely explain many methods, processes and procedures to them. These can include ➡️Preparation instructions prior to a pathology or radiology 🩻 scan ➡️Outlining the steps of a surgical procedure ➡️Providing an overview of a medication 💊 or treatment plan and several others These words and phrases ensure cogency, accurate sequencialty and coherency when delivering complex information in a chronological manner For example 1️⃣First off please empty your bladder 90 minutes prior to your ultrasound 2️⃣After that drink 1 litre of water 💦 over the next 30 minutes 3️⃣Finally have a full bladder ready an hour prior to your appointment. What other words and phrases can you use to deliver instructions and complex information in a sequential manner ? #healthcareprofessionals #healthcarecommunication #sequence #stepbystepguide #firstandlast #effectivecommunication #communicatebetter #communicationcoach #keepitsimple

Surgeons develop their English skills for many different reasons. Some of them are making medical presentations at international conferences and want to ensure they speak English clearly. Others got a new job and realized their English is not as fluid as that of their colleagues or the staff they lead. Others are just sick and tired of their English, which is not allowing them to be the best surgeons they can be. Even though many of them have been speaking English for a long time, they learn and develop the nuances of the language, which completely transforms their approach to the language. If you’re a surgeon and feel ashamed for needing help with your English, don’t be! ECA has helped everyone from neurosurgeons to cardiac surgeons…even plastic surgeons. Help is always here if you need it. #surgeons #thankyou #medical ______________________________________ 💊 Go from 𝗙𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗙𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝘁 in seven days by joining our free group for medical professionals and accessing our online course: https://lnkd.in/eqFJ87G9 🎯 Follow #EnglishCommunicationAcademy to speak clearly, fluently, and confidently. 🏥 Ask us how our Frustrated to F.R.E.E.D.O.M membership can help you.
