In my role as a Learning & Development Specialist, the aspect I find most rewarding is delivering impactful learning experiences to my colleagues. There is immense satisfaction in observing the moment when a learner grasps the material, knowing it will positively influence their life, whether on a small or large scale. I am passionate about equipping individuals with the foundational tools for continuous self-directed learning, fostering their autonomy and supporting their personal and professional growth. Q. Outside of work, how do you like to spend your time? A. Outside of my professional commitments, I prioritize spending quality time with my family and close friends. My passion for hosting and cooking allows me to create memorable moments for my loved ones. Besides that, I've become quite the plant enthusiast, always growing my collection and honing my green thumb. When the weather's good, you'll find me outdoors - biking, kayaking, and enjoying some BBQ time. Q. Why did you decide to join ATD-GTC and even more, become a volunteer? A. I became a member of ATD-GTC with the intention of immersing myself in a community of dedicated professionals, fostering continuous learning within my field. The value of shared knowledge among adults in my local area cannot be overstated. Taking my commitment a step further, I decided to volunteer, driven by a desire to contribute to the sustainability of this valuable community. By actively participating, I aim to ensure that we can all continue to benefit from meaningful exchanges and enriching experiences. Q. Do you have a favorite ATD event? COPs, Transforming Learning, Learning Labs, social events, the national conference, etc.? A. I've found great value in every ATD event I've attended. Being a team of one in my company, the Community of Practice (CoP): Small Yet Mighty L&D Teams holds particular significance. It offers a valuable platform to explore best practices and address challenges specific to smaller L&D teams.
