Where is peninsula Malaysia's multi-culturalism headed with Mahatir an immigrant's son and his side-kicks of the past and now in opposition to him still wallowing in fanatism, greed and so on. Dislike for non-malays is racially and religiously motivated. Stop burying your heads and start living in peace, harmony and mutual respect with the non-malays. Sarawak as major partner of Malaysia is taking the lead as a multi-cultural dynamic nation. We say Glory to Allah/God and peace to all men of goodwill. https://lnkd.in/gffujbAw

Indigenous youth are working as agents of change at the forefront of some of the most pressing crises facing humanity today. They are harnessing cutting-edge technologies and developing new skills to offer solutions and contribute to a more sustainable, peaceful future for our planet. But their future depends on the decisions that are made today. Their representation and participation in global efforts towards climate change mitigation, peacebuilding, and digital cooperation are crucial for the effective implementation of their rights as indigenous people. This International Day of Indigenous Peoples 2023, let’s recognise "Indigenous youth as agents of change for self-determination", and the role that indigenous youth must occupy in decision-making while recognizing their dedicated efforts in climate action, the search for justice for their people, and the creation of an intergenerational connection that keeps their culture, traditions, and contributions alive.
Today we’re marking International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples 👣🌏 Did you know: ▪️ There are an estimated 476 million Indigenous people in the world. ▪️ Indigenous people live across 90 countries. ▪️ There are an estimated 7,000 languages, representing 5,000 different cultures. For over 60,000 years, Indigenous people and communities in Australia have continued to maintain and practice culture and connection to Country. We are committed to making sure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are heard, recognised and empowered. #IndigenousPeoplesDay #WeAreIndigenous

Celebrating Filipino Heritage Month: Honoring History, Culture, and Contributions June is a special time to celebrate Filipino Heritage Month in the United States, honoring the rich history, culture, and contributions of Filipino Americans and Filipinos worldwide. This observance aligns with June 12, Philippine Independence Day, marking the declaration of independence from Spanish colonial rule in 1898. Celebrating in June allows communities to align festivities with this important historical event, emphasizing national pride and cultural heritage. Cultural Awareness: Increase awareness and appreciation of Filipino culture, traditions, and history. An important aspect is understanding the difference between the use of "F" and "Ph." "Filipino" refers to anything related to the Philippines, including the people, language, and culture, while "Philippines" refers to the geographic location. The usage of "Filipino" reflects the historical and linguistic heritage accurately. Recognition: Highlight the significant contributions of Filipino Americans to society in various fields such as arts, politics, science, and community service. Community Engagement: Strengthen community ties and promote solidarity among Filipino Americans and other communities. For resources to learn more, visit the Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS), The Filipino Channel (TFC), National Federation of Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA), and Philippine Consulates and Embassies. Let’s take this month to honor and celebrate the vibrant Filipino heritage and its impact on our communities! hashtag #FilipinoHeritageMonth hashtag #CulturalAwareness hashtag #CommunityEngagement hashtag #PhilippineIndependenceDay

The long relationship between Canada and Indigenous peoples has often been difficult. There is a need for all Canadians to address the reconciliation and restitution called upon and required by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada. In the “Indigenous Cultural Awareness” course, facilitator Julie Pellissier-Lush will highlight and explain in depth the traditional knowledge of the Mi’kmaq, the Indigenous peoples of Mi’kma’ki and Epekwitk (the Mi’kmaw name for Prince Edward Island), their life before contact with Europeans, the role of colonization on the Mi’kmaq, and how all Canadians move forward positively with Indigenous peoples. At the end of “Indigenous Cultural Awareness,” participants with have a greater understanding of the traditional ways and knowledge of Indigenous peoples – specifically the Mi’kmaq, their journey, and how all Canadians can move forward positively in terms of truth, reconciliation, and restitution https://lnkd.in/grgW5KDb

Denmark Eases Spousal Reunification Requirements Starting from July 1, 2024, Denmark has announced a relaxation in the spousal reunification regulations. The new rules include significant changes aimed at facilitating the process for couples wishing to live together in Denmark. Key adjustments to the policy are: - Spouses who have worked in positions that substantially involve communication in Danish for at least five years will now be exempt from formal Danish language proficiency requirements in all spousal reunification applications. - The financial guarantee required to apply for spousal reunification has been reduced to 57,000 Danish kroner, down from the previous amount of 114,000 Danish kroner. These changes are expected to make it easier for international couples to reunite and settle in Denmark, reflecting a more accommodating approach to integration policies. #Denmark #SpousalReunification #ImmigrationReform #LanguageRequirements #FinancialGuarantee
