Two weeks later and we're still living for the 2024 Vision Awards! Huge thanks to our Visionary Sponsor Wells Fargo who – in addition to their top-line sponsorship – kept our guests hydrated with their specialty mocktail station, provided our beautiful tablescapes, and inspired us with remarks from Anne Boyle, President of the company’s 15,000-member LGBTQ employee resource group. We’re deeply grateful for the company’s commitment to their LGBTQ employees, and for their ongoing support of our work.

In #publicsafety , everyone is #family You spend more holidays with your co-workers than you do with your own family. Of course, you have that weird aunt or grumpy uncle but at the end of the day - regardless of race, gender, religious beliefs, sexuality, etc. Everyone loves eachother and supports eachother through those difficult calls. Coming over to the private sector, I didn’t know what to expect. #Thankful to have joined a company that welcomes #diversity and supports all employees. Verint has created a culture that embraces #inclusion while providing #opportunities and #support for everyone. #equality #employeeresourcegroup #ERG #diversity #verint #publicsector #publicsafety #community #bestplacestowork #culture #proud #together #verinteer #technology #techjobs #womenintech
Leadership means embracing inclusion year-round, not just during Pride Month. It's about creating a culture that recognizes and appreciates the diversity of our workforce throughout the year. That’s why we’re excited to introduce our newest Employee Resource Group – LGBTQ . This group is committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming, and safe environment for all our LGBTQ Verinteers, helping them to grow and thrive. Join us this month and beyond as the LGBTQ ERG hosts engaging programs and events, shares valuable education, and drives impactful change. Together, we're building a more diverse, innovative, and better Verint. Happy #PrideMonth!

I can only echo and amplify Colin's comments below on this panel!
I had the pleasure of speaking on a panel hosted by our LGBTQ employee resource group, The LGBTQ Alliance, yesterday. We shared insights on the successes and challenges of being authentically LGBTQ in the workplace. I’m so grateful to have been given a platform to share my passion for creating inclusive environments. Not only did it provide an opportunity to create an inclusive workplace for LGBTQ professionals, but I had a blast connecting with colleagues Matthew Hintz, Sarah Cole, Zachary L. Berliner, and Lauren Wittenberg! Many thanks to the wonderful Shane Diamond for moderating and Angela Gehring for her introduction!

Happy pride month! 🏳️🌈❤️ As we step into this vibrant month of celebration, I want to take a moment to reflect on the importance of visibility for queer individuals in the office space. As a proud lesbian and poly person, I understand the profound impact that being seen and acknowledged can have on an individual. It's about more than just being present; it's about creating a space where we can all feel safe, supported, and free to express our true selves without fear. While we celebrate Pride, we must also confront the rise in hate crimes in Norway (as well as the rest of the world), a stark reminder of the ongoing struggle for true equality. Let's stand united against such hate and advocate for a society where love and acceptance prevail. Visibility matters. It paves the way for understanding, acceptance, and change. This Pride, let's commit to fostering an environment where every voice is heard, every identity is respected, and every person can thrive. Here's to celebrating our unique journeys and the collective progress we've made. #Pride #Inclusivity #Visibility
Wishing everyone a Happy Pride Month! “Here at Crayon, we support the LGBTQ community as a proud ally and inclusive company,” said CEO Melissa Mulholland. “Our focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion helps us embrace what makes us strong—our differences. Pride isn’t just a time to show support, but also a time to celebrate the accomplishments and acknowledge the challenges of LGBTQ people throughout history. Diversity comes in many forms, and it is essential that we recognize people’s different perspectives because they enrich our own experiences.” #Crayon #Pride #Diversity

As we celebrate Pride Month, it’s worth noting the significance of diversity and inclusion in the maritime industry. Diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging are focused on making sure everyone has the same opportunity to succeed. It’s not about disrespecting the contributions of others. It is about acknowledging and addressing systemic inequalities that have persisted over time. The goal is to create a more inclusive and fairer environment where everyone is valued and respected. Pride Month is a time to honor and celebrate the LGBTQ community, recognizing the contributions and talents they bring to all sectors, including maritime. Diversity is essential for innovation and progress. By fostering an inclusive environment within Washington State Ferries and the maritime industry at large, we can better serve our communities and navigate towards a brighter future together.
