In the UK alone we need around 3 million workers to be upskilled to support initiatives like the transition to net zero. At the same time, it was predicted in 2020 that 20% of the professional personnel in the water management sector will retire in this decade, although only 8% of those currently working are under the age of 24. An important part of CIWEM (The Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management)'s mission, and of course the Institute of Water, Future Water, British Water, our Business and University Partners, government agencies, NGOs, charities and so many others in our collective community, is to promote lifelong learning and best practice in environmental management. Bottom line, we need everyone we can get to join (and stay) in the water and environmental management space, and to stay on top of the pace of change. Join us at this event and help make it happen. #planetpossible #professionaldevelopment #environment
