Key Takeaways from Our 2 Days at EMO Hannover 2023: After spending two days exploring the latest innovations at EMO Hannover 2023, I'm leaving this impressive industry trade fair re-energized about the future of manufacturing technology. Day two brought more excitement with DMG Mori, Doosan & Nakamura-Tome's extreme precision machining centers and RoboJob's automated cells for machine tending. Seeing these smarter machines and automation solutions emphasized the ongoing digitalization of production. A key stop for us was the Campex Tools booth, where we learned about their wide range of gear machining solutions. Campex's technical experts provided valuable insights into achieving maximum efficiency in gear production. To summarize, after two packed days at EMO Hannover 2023, our team heads home with renewed perspective. We're eager to potentially implement some of these innovative technologies exhibited at the show as we continue striving to optimize our own manufacturing operations.

Sustainability is one of the key drivers for innovation in automotive materials and processes. - That’s what was evident at the 14th Symposium for New Vehicle and Material Concepts (14. Fachtagung für neue Fahrzeug- und Werkstoffkonzepte) in Stuttgart this week. Across all material classes – whether it’s metals, polymers or wood – material suppliers, Tier producers and OEMs are looking for ways to reduce their Product Carbon Footprint and increase Circularity. Our presentation on Design for Recycling, in which we demonstrated a mono-material car seat for Evonik, fit right in. By questioning every aspect of the application requirements, employing a comprehensive simulation driven design approach and leveraging our deep understanding of design for recycling the team supported the development of an incredibly compelling and capable mono-material solution. Thanks to Dr. Klaus Heller from our JV partner Vestaro GmbH for representing Forward Engineering on stage and throughout the event.
