It's Lung Cancer Awareness month and this one hits home for me!
I was diagnosed with stage 4 ALK-positive lung cancer in 2022, at the age of 49. I didn't know that anyone with lungs can get lung cancer, so the diagnosis came as a shock. About 70,000 people around the world are diagnosed with ALK-positive lung cancer every year, and most have no risk factors. As of today, there is no cure. Fortunately for all of us, cancer research is moving at a fast pace.
With more research funding we may be able to extend the lives of those with ALK-positive lung cancer, and someday find a cure.

Our drugs right now are bringing a good quality of life. They're also buying more time. But with more research, we can do even better.
It's why Matt, who was diagnosed with stage 4 ALK lung cancer in August 2022, dreams. With better funding, we can bring the brightest minds together to not only kick the can down the road, but one day find a cure.
Please help be a part of that future: https://lnkd.in/g2W4Y2cW.
