We are pleased to announce the expansion of our SBMC-family. The German company RevoBITs, a startup at the Institute of Polymer Materials at the Friedrich Alexander Universität (FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg), is now part of the consortium, working together to bring smart biomaterials to the market faster. RevoBITs enables the printing and on-demand mixing of temperature-sensitive, protein-based bioinks to generate biologically relevant mechanical and biochemical properties in the construct. This advancement facilitates the development and fine-tuning of more complex living tissue models. Warm welcome to Ruben Gerrit Scheuring, Stefan Schrüfer, Janik Altenhoefer and Alexander Björk. In the past few weeks, the construction workers from Provide Metaaltechniek, supported by workers from SPIE have worked very hard on the preparations for the construction of our pilot production facility on the High Tech Campus Eindhoven. After the summer construction holiday, we will start building four cleanrooms, operated at GMP-C (ISO6 or ISO7) conditions, covering 400 square meters, alongside a shared quality control lab, office space, and storage areas. Click here if you want to know more about our pilot production facility: https://lnkd.in/eJ2BHxu9 For now: let's head to a well-deserved construction holiday! Have fun, guys!

Thank you for your trust in the collaborative project between BIO INX and Smart BioMaterials Consortium (SBMC). This two-year project is intended to revolutionize the field of tissue regeneration for bone and cartilage tissue through the development of advanced bio-ink for 3D bioprinting technology.
