It's impossible to ignore the devastating effects of war, especially on innocent children caught in the crossfire. Watching this video makes me sad, the plight of Shaima, Ramadan and every other children in the war zones is truly heartbreaking. In conflict zones, children are among the most vulnerable. They witness unspeakable horrors and endure immense suffering. War disrupts every aspect of their lives. During the course of war, children are injured or killed in bombings, shootings, and other acts of violence. Even those who survive may face lifelong disabilities, chronic illnesses, or malnutrition due to the lack of access to medical care and proper nutrition. The psychological toll of war on children is profound. Many suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and anxiety. Their childhoods are stolen from them. Education, a fundamental human right, is often disrupted or denied entirely during times of war. The loss of education robs them of opportunities for a better future. As the world witnesses these tragedies unfold, it's crucial to advocate for the protection of children in conflict zones. Governments, humanitarian organizations, and individuals must work together to provide essential aid and advocate for policies that prioritize the well-being of children affected by war. Every child deserves a childhood free from fear and violence.
The horrors of war. Children, like 5-year-old Shaima and 11-year-old Ramadan from Gaza, bear no responsibility for war, and yet they often pay the highest price. We are doing everything we can to provide life-saving support to families, but what they need most is a humanitarian ceasefire.

Today, September 23, marks a significant moment in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. On this Monday, over 270 Lebanese civilians were killed in the deadliest strikes since the 2006 war, with thousands more displaced as families flee southern Lebanon. The conflict highlights the continued instability in the region, alongside other crises unfolding globally. As civilians bear the brunt of violence, it is essential to focus on de-escalation, humanitarian relief, and protection for the most vulnerable. At CTG, we closely monitor these developments and advocate for efforts that prioritize peace, safety, and long-term stability in conflict-affected areas. #safety #peace #Lebanon #Israel

As the war in #Syria marks its 13th year, the long list of the suffering of Syrian people continues, from shelling, airstrikes, arbitrary arrests, detention, displacement, earthquakes and now the severe funding shortcuts affecting 4.2 million people in need who are residing in the north-west of the country. The cross-border response is facing the worst funding crisis in its history. There are 3.4 million displaced people in the north-west who are struggling daily to secure a meal for their families in the month of #Ramadan. Read more on the humanitarian needs and response in NWS in the latest OCHA situation report as of 15 March. Madevi (Maddy) Sun-Suon https://lnkd.in/dmQ_mwwd

It is beyond reprehensible and utterly despicable that on a sacred day meant for peace, reflection, and celebration, the Israeli forces have chosen to perpetrate such heinous acts of violence and brutality against the Palestinian people. The deliberate targeting of innocent civilians, including children and infants, on the first day of Eid al-Adha, a time of spiritual significance and communal joy, showcases a level of malevolence and inhumanity that is nothing short of barbaric. This egregious act is not just an assault on individual lives but a blatant attack on the very essence of humanity and decency. In Rafah and Bureij refugee camps, the airstrikes that resulted in the loss of at least 12 lives and countless injuries are a stark reminder of the unrelenting and merciless aggression that has been systematically inflicted upon Gaza. The sight of medical teams frantically retrieving the dead and wounded, including an infant, from the rubble of what once were homes, is a heart-wrenching testament to the ongoing suffering and despair inflicted by these indiscriminate acts of violence. The continuous bombardment and destruction over the last 253 days, resulting in the massacre of over 37,296 Palestinians, predominantly women, children, and infants, is a chilling display of state-sanctioned genocide. The staggering number of wounded, 85,197, and the thousands feared dead under debris, along with the 9,500 abducted, paint a horrific picture of a systematic attempt to erase an entire people and culture from existence. This is not a conflict; this is a calculated and cold-blooded extermination of the Palestinian identity and spirit. Israel’s actions, driven by an insidious agenda of expansion and domination, defy all principles of international law, human rights, and basic moral decency. The world watches in horror as these atrocities unfold, yet the international community’s response remains woefully inadequate, emboldening Israel’s leadership to continue their relentless campaign of terror and destruction. The silence and complicity of global powers, particularly those who pride themselves on being defenders of human rights, are nothing short of disgraceful and hypocritical. Benjamin Netanyahu and his administration stand at the forefront of this genocidal campaign, their policies and rhetoric steeped in a toxic blend of racism, xenophobia, and unyielding militarism. It is a profound tragedy that a nation born out of the horrors of the Holocaust can perpetuate such similar horrors upon another people. The parallels are stark and cannot be ignored: the dehumanization, the collective punishment, the obliteration of homes, schools, and hospitals – all bear the hallmarks of ethnic cleansing and genocide. As a Muslim, witnessing these atrocities, I am compelled to pray fervently for the end of Israel’s oppressive regime and the downfall of Netanyahu, a leader who has shown utter contempt for human life and dignity.
Israeli forces killed at least 12 Palestinians, including children, in attacks on Rafah and Bureij refugee camp on June 16, the first day of 𝗘𝗶𝗱 𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗱𝗵𝗮, in Palestine's Gaza. Many others were also injured in the attacks. Medical teams retrieved an unspecified number of dead and injured people, including an infant, as a result of an Israeli air strike on a house in Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, eyewitnesses said earlier in the day. They added that medical and civil defence teams were working to search for more victims and injured people following the attack. Israel's genocidal war on Gaza, now in its 253rd day, has killed at least 37,296 Palestinians, — the majority of them women, children and infants - and wounded 85,197, with more than 10,000 feared dead under debris and over 9,500 abducted by Israel. #stopwarcrimes #stopkillingchildren #stopgenocideingaza #ceasefirenow #savegaza #freepalestine

The fatigue levels among Palestinian (and I include Sudan, Congo, Syria and all those suffering at the hands of oppressors) individuals enduring the harrowing impacts of wars, conflicts, genocides are reaching unprecedented levels. After nearly seven months of enduring genocide, systematic ethnic cleansing, and assaults on civil defense and medical aid providers, these individuals have depleted all their physical, mental, and emotional resources. How can we expect them to cope with yet another escalation, such as the recent Rafah air and military land invasion? The sheer weight of these ongoing atrocities is unimaginable. It's crucial for us, as global citizens, to comprehend the immense toll these prolonged conflicts take on individuals and communities. We must advocate for peace, support humanitarian efforts, and stand in solidarity with those affected by these crises. Let's not turn a blind eye to their suffering. Let's amplify their voices and work towards ending these atrocities, ensuring a future where such fatigue and suffering are no longer a reality. #ceasefirenow #palestinelivesmatter #freefreepalestine #stopgenocide #stopwarcrimes #stoparmingisrael #StopTheViolence #SupportHumanity #StandForPeace --- https://lnkd.in/dAv_4Wer https://lnkd.in/dAv_4Wer

Today marks five months since the onset of the war between Israel and Hamas, and the losses are incalculable — though we do have some numbers. ⚫️ 32,000 people have been killed. ⚫️ 2.2 million people are at risk of famine. ⚫️ 1.7 million people have been displaced. Parents are going without meals to prevent their kids from starving; schools are now shelters from airstrikes. The human suffering is unimaginable. According to our staff in #Gaza, the focus is singular – survival. A permanent ceasefire is crucial to make way for healing, peace and the passage of critically-needed humanitarian aid.
