CISO, INVEST YOUR ENERGY IN SOMETHING RELEVANT TO THE BOARD 'Discussing cybersecurity strategies is one of the most important points for businesses today. At this debate table, important figures, such as CEOs, CISOs, and CIOs, set the tone for the discussion. The collaboration of these professionals has never been more important in the face of current demands, in which cybercrime is gaining strength, and businesses remain under pressure to be even more innovative in 2024. In the view of Marcos Sêmola, EY Partner, business executives are interested in three main indicators: revenue, cash flow, and productivity. Therefore, there is no reason for the board to think much beyond these topics, which is why the actions of the CIO and CISO need to touch on the relevant indicators. “Without a cause and effect relationship, the cybersecurity professional will waste time investing their energy in something that is not very relevant to the board,” warns Sêmola during the Security Leaders Congress.'
