BarCamp is not your typical conference. It’s an open, participatory workshop where YOU set the agenda. Attendees are encouraged to share their knowledge, ideas, and experiences in a relaxed, collaborative environment. There are no spectators at BarCamp – only participants! This year's focus is on building a robust small business and startup ecosystem in Central and West Central Minnesota. We're building a regional community where ideas flourish and founders and friends can connect, learn, and grow. Why Attend? Connect with Local Innovators: Meet like-minded individuals who share your passion for business and innovation. Expand your network with other small business owners, startups, and professionals in Central MN. Learn and Share: With sessions ranging from startup funding to digital marketing, you'll find a wealth of knowledge ready to be shared. And if you have a topic you're passionate about, sign up to lead a session! Spark New Ideas: The unstructured format of BarCamp encourages creative thinking and collaboration. Engage in spontaneous discussions that could ignite the next big idea for your business. Be Part of the Community: Central MN is bustling with entrepreneurial spirit. This is your chance to contribute to and benefit from a growing ecosystem that's dedicated to supporting small businesses and startups. Registration is not required, but help us know who’s coming prior to the event https://hubs.la/Q02FCVzq0 #fastlane94barcamp #barcamp #roundhousebrewery

𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐞, 𝐨𝐡 𝐦𝐲! 𝘐'𝘮 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘩 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳-𝘢𝘯𝘥-𝘪𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳 𝘱𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘳/𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘳 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘚𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘰𝘯 𝘝𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘺 𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘬! We hosted the first-ever Bay Area event in 2014, and hosted ~10 events every year for the next 6 years. Then COVID. But now we're back! If you've been to one of these, then you know.... ► It's all founders and investors (RSVPs are vetted) ► The food and wine is good (we follow a no-pizza rule) ► The poker is fun (and, optional, by the way) It's a rare thing to be in a room where you want to have a conversation with literally everyone else in the room. What comes from this is amazing to watch. I'm also excited to relaunch with a special guest joining us, Lawrence Coburn, co-founder/CEO of Ambient. Lawrence has had a remarkable journey and he will share some of his story and learnings. Startup Haven events are traditional for members only. But in the spirit of renewal we're inviting founders and investors who are not yet members but who meet the membership requirements. Here's what that looks like: ► Founders working full time on a venture-scalable startup and you have some elements of early progress/traction/commercialization. ► Active startup investors are actively seeking their next venture-scale startup investment AND who have no financial conflicts of interest (i.e., anyone who has a product or service to sell to startups.) If that sounds like you, we'd be happy to have you join us as a guest! https://lnkd.in/gycAM6nM
Looking forward to great food, conversation, and an optional low-stakes game of poker in Menlo Park on Tuesday. Hosted by Will Hubbard and Ravi Vangapalli. Lawrence Coburn, Co-Founder and CEO of Ambient will join us as guest speaker. In addition to being a Startup Haven portfolio CEO and member of our Bay Area chapter, Lawrence is a true startup OG. He's a serial, exited founder with all the humility, wisdom, and tenacity that you would expect from a founder who's lived the journey he has. Please note that registration is through your member dashboard or Luma. If you are not a current Startup Haven member, and your registration is approved, this signifies approval as a Startup Haven member. https://lu.ma/mi9dpdi6

Founder PSA 🗣️ My first solo startup event was $50 a seat for a 2 day event in 2017. Then went to $100 in 2018, 3 years later $200 in 2021, $300-500 in 2022, now up to $1-2k and this spring $5-10k per seat. There are people who will balk at that. Good. I don’t want them, nor do they likely fit the target demo for the premium more advanced events. Price communicates value. Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you’re priced too high for as long as 1. People buy it (market approves = good perceived value) 2. Your customers come back (retention = good experience and value obtained) Everyone else can kick rocks. ✌🏻 Good night. (PS - not all events are priced that high but about half of them for seasoned founders are and the other half are more affordable for early stage founders)
