Why Digital Health Startups Should Start Thinking About Their Reimbursement Pathway Earlier Some of the most difficult processes for digital health startups to navigate are those related to reimbursement and coding. Startups will often need to create entirely new codes for their products, so they should start thinking about this sooner rather than later, experts said at a recent conference. https://lnkd.in/gn78MQuS #startups #devices #diagnostics #healthtech #digitalhealth #reimbursement

Meet our Personal Care Managers who is coming out of "Young Alfreds Program" (yes, we took inspiration from the legendary comic character from Batman) at Citraverse Healthcare. In India, the present home caregiving system for elderly has quite a few ruptures - care companions offered by agencies or other big players in the market are not trained enough or paid well, leading to high attrition & unprofessionalism. Plus, health data is not captured for preventive care with hospitals. All this ultimately lead to a poor experience (& sometimes super painful) for elderly and their adult kids. 5 months back, when Ganga Raj and I narrated "let's create Alfreds along with a tech SaaS platform for the industry" to our mentors at large, some took a leap of faith with us by funding for the pilot. We went across the towns in the country, and carefully hired a bunch of highly empathetic, talented individuals who were in care profession. We put them through a rigorous 400 hours of training in Geriatric fundamentals, psychology, physiotherapy, nutrition, elaborate reading/writing proficiency, exposure to world affairs, and health emergency responses. And voila, they come out as sharp, articulate, and far more empowered personal care managers. Take a look at their stories here. If you are looking for a smart, professional Personal Care Manager (like an Alfred from Batman movie) to attend to the elderly 24*7 at home, drop a message to me or at https://lnkd.in/eDh6CaWZ Our co-architects & co-passengers in the journey: - Varun Chawla (build3 | impact accelerator) - Mark Gorman & Brenda Hetrick (US) - Dheeraj Rajagopal (Google DeepMind) - Derek Nazareth (Villa Alina / UK) - Sahil (Delhivery) - InfoEdge CfE Ashoka University - Apurv Agrawal (SquadStack) & Vishnupriya Sainath who stayed with me from day 0.
