Since 2015, Bracenet has already given new life to around 190,000 metres of net, creating over a million products. ๐ฌโป๏ธ The journey began in Tanzania and Zanzibar, where co-founders Madeleine von Hohenthal and Benjamin Wenke saw the devastating impact of ghost nets on marine life. Inspired to make a change, they turned a holiday observation into a mission-driven business. ๐๐ก Bracenet collaborates with partners like Healthy Seas and Ghost Diving, funding marine conservation and promoting sustainability. ๐๐ Yesterday, I had the incredible privilege of joining the Lekan Bakare Foundation at Elegushi Beach to mark International Coastal Cleanup Day. Together, we embarked on a mission to push the boundaries of the Sustainable Development Goals. ๐โป๏ธ ๐ค Despite the rainy weather, my day started in Magodo GRA Phase 1, and I was prepared to show up for this cleanup. However, dear friends and brethren, it was a heavy rainy day, and I was feeling down. I wondered how I would make it to Elegushi Beach for the cleanup. But guess what? I told myself, "Sam, it's not an impact project if it doesn't cost you anything. You lose the right to complain if you've done nothing to make changes." I'm glad I stepped out because it was heartwarming to see passionate individuals come together, united by a common goal - the preservation of our beautiful coastlines and the pursuit of sustainability. ๐ฑ๐ ๐ The ocean holds a special place in our hearts, providing us with countless resources and breathtaking beauty. Yesterday, we gave back to this natural wonder by removing trash and debris from the beach, ensuring a cleaner and healthier environment for all. ๐๏ธ๐๏ธ ๐ฌ It takes more than just knowing what to do; it's about taking action regardless of the obstacles ahead. I met amazing people, and it created inspiring memories. Cheers to continuous work towards a more sustainable and eco-conscious future! ๐ธ๐ #CoastalCleanupDay #Sustainability #SDGs #EcoWarriors #CleanSeas #LekanBakareFoundation

A retroshift of the yearly 100 Billion tons of material resource streams into a biosphere carbon cycle is an inevitable backloaded 350 billion tons of CO2 emissions by transformer of those waste stream domains into biodiverse built environments.
This. This is what I do. With Hiberna Modular. Its epic. Awesome to see Bruce King on the video too. Good job Patagonia. Hit me up if you would like something like this. Build with Straw. Its the best https://lnkd.in/gvF36P5P

Patagonia 30-Day Escape: 1 of 15 Takeaways I put off unplugging and going to my dream destination of Patagonia for over 20 years. Over the next 10 days, I'll share photos and lessons learned on my journey to one of the least populated areas on earth. 1. DON'T DELAY YOUR DREAMS The first time I heard about Patagonia, it was on an earnings call in 2000. The CEOs of JDS and Uniphase, two optical chip companies, ran into each other on a hike in Patagonia and decided to merge their companies. I thought, that Patagonia must be a powerful place! Yet, I waited 23 years to take one month off and explore. It was only an 8-hour flight from Miami to Buenos Aires, similar to going to Europe. Don't delay your dreams like I did! #entrepreneurship #management #wealth

#Sustainable #Development #Practices #Innovations Global Low-Carbon Ecological Scenic Spot 2023--Six Senses Ninh Van Bay, Vietnam Six Senses Ninh Van Bay is the perfect #HolidayDestination in Vietnam for regenerative travel, allowing guests to actively participate in #sustainability and #conservation projects with the resort to preserve the marine #ecosystem and #biodiversity of the Bay. With 19 years of establishment and growth, Six Senses Ninh Van Bay has earned widespread recognition as a trailblazer in sustainable practices within the hospitality industry. It has showcased how a strong commitment to local communities and ecosystems can be successfully combined with uncompromising top-tier facilities. The Sustainability Fund allocates 0.5 percent of net revenue, 50 percent of house-bottled water sales, and 100 percent of soft toy sales and donations to be spent on community and conservation projects. The objective of this fund is to enhance the quality of life and resilience of local communities, protect and restore ecosystems, and improve the living environment for wildlife populations in the Hon Heo area. This is achieved through collaborative partnerships working together towards predefined goals aimed at tackling local social and environmental issues. One such issue is the destruction of natural habitats, which poses significant threat to local wildlife and ecosystems. As the number of endangered species continues to rise, the work undertaken to protect wildlife becomes increasingly crucial. The aspiration of Ninh Van Bay is to protect and preserve the local communities, culture, environments, and wildlife, which needs to be done this through a long-term, multi-disciplinary approach.
