⭐️ Reasons to not be a company director ⭐️ If you have no interest in the welfare of your team. If you are incapable of replying to emails no matter how serious. If you cannot provide the services you agreed to when hiring. If you repeatedly fail to pay people on time or meet the contractual agreements of a contract YOU wrote. If structure, policy and procedures are simply based on your mood. All traits above demonstrate a clear lack of competency, integrity or both. If you have no interest in the industry you operate or the people you employ; you have no right to the interest in the profits they may earn you.

"Today, I will make 10 visits and ensure that my last visit is as energetic and enthusiastic as my first." This commitment was made by one of our team members during Suprabhat (Morning team meetings). Suprabhat, su-prabhat meaning good beginning, is a concept we introduced in our daily team get-together in the morning to share any positive experience about the past day/days, allowing everyone to start their day with positivity. The duration of the session ranged between 2 minutes to 20 minutes. This simple exercise led to: -> Enhanced team bonding -> Increased collaboration among team members -> Positive energy throughout the team ->Normalised expressing amongst reserved team members This simple initiative changed the way we build our culture at iBall. While we often add Systems & SOPs to enhance efficiency, true culture is often rooted in personal touch and care at its centre. Culture ≄ HR policies. Culture is built by actions that the team took together. What activities does your organization do that influences its culture? #Suprabhat #Culture #MorningMeeting #WorkCulture

Today marks a significant day at the company I am working on an interim basis as a valued staff member leaves after 11 years of service. A heartfelt farewell lunch was organized, accompanied by touching speeches, to honor their contributions. Farewells are not just about appreciation; they highlight the value of teamwork and camaraderie within an organization. Neglecting such moments can impact staff morale and engagement levels. Recognizing and appreciating employees not only boosts morale but also encourages them to excel beyond expectations. #Appreciation #Teamwork #EmployeeEngagement

So, building a team from scratch...a piece of cake, right? In concept, maybe. In reality, it's a roller-coaster ride of decision-making, problem-solving, and relationship-building. This year, I embarked on a journey of constructing a team from ground zero, learning and growing along the way. A key strand of this process was reshuffling the front line team, a task both rewarding and at times, emotionally draining. Saying goodbye to team members is arduous, but fostering a healthy team environment meant making tough decisions. Somber moments were counterbalanced by triumphs. Aligning the right people in the right roles, cultivating their skills and passion led to a harmonised, passionate team who loved what they do - that was the real win. Further to this, we onboarded Kaitlynn Rush, originally as Operations Support, who has now grown to the role of Operations Manager. Kaitlynn, your dedication and perseverance is nothing short of inspiring. Not all efforts were crowned with success though – some additions to our team didn't quite make the cut. Selecting the perfect team is an art in itself, a beautiful mess of trials, errors, and learning. Now, as we close the year, I am honoured to welcome two new talented members, Michael, a web strategist and Myles, another team leader, who are already proving their weight in gold. So, was it all worth it? Witnessing the tight-knit unit we’ve created during our Christmas party, seeing each individual genuinely happy with their roles and receiving heartfelt sentiments on the pros and cons of the past year – yes, it was absolutely worth it. The high lights were: Seeing our team leaders, Suhag, Steph and Tracey just enjoy each others company was great. (Myles was sick and couldn't make it) Talking to some of our team, who have been cleaners for other companies. A small sample was Lisa, Cheryl and Abbi. Hearing them say how much they like working for a company that supports them, each and every day, was amazing. Talking to the community of Bhutanese cleaners who just couldn't be more grateful for the job. As Yentin said - working for In-Tec Commercial Cleaning has changed his life. No more sub-contracting for under $20 per hour, I get paid correctly and can now live and pay my education costs. To sum up. Building a team is far from 'easy'. You see emotional highs and lows but let me guarantee you, the ride is worth every rollercoaster drop and every exhilarating rise. If you are out there rethinking team strategies or just starting from scratch, keep pushing. The process is challenging, yet rewarding beyond words. Remember, we don't build a team for the easy times. We build a team for hard times, for progress, for success. Happy Team Building!

Last night, after a day full of collaboration and growth, our amazing Next Level Solutions #HR team came together to enjoy a delicious, authentic Puerto Rican meal. We also spent the evening full of conversation and strengthening our team bonds. 🤝 Looking forward to the rest of the week with Donna Smith, PHR, SHRM-CP , Derik G. Before we bash those engaged by calling them loudmouth and requiring them to be quiet, we should consider whether the other team members are engaged. Sometimes, people are disengaged and have nothing to do with those who are engaged and participating. https://lnkd.in/g3YZqmNn #team #teamdevelopment
