Building a Better Tomorrow: Supporting Female Field Workers Many of us are familiar with the uncertainty and unpredictability that come with our menstrual cycles, unexpected surprises, erratic flow or not being fully prepared are all typical realities. These can pose unique challenges at the best of times and can be amplified for those working in remote field environments. Following an enlightening conversation with work colleague Liv Desira, who brought to light her experience and proposed solution sparked immediate action where I was able to source an 'Emergency Personal Hygiene Pack' for our female field workers. Her courage and ingenuity are proof that each one of us can make a difference and bring about positive changes within our organisation. Creating a psychologically safe environment where women feel empowered to voice their challenges is a significant stride in building a better workplace. This hasn't always been the case in our industry and I'm proud of the progress we're making. Commitment to enhancing workplace conditions for female employees isn't a singular grand gesture but an ongoing journey of continuous improvements. Each step we take towards making our workplace more inclusive and responsive to the needs of all employees, moves us closer to a balanced and equitable future. Let's remember: WE are the change-makers, WE are the solution.
