I've recently embarked on a journey of self-investment by exploring mental health coaching. For those unfamiliar (as I was), it's been an interesting experience distinguishing it from traditional therapy. While mental health therapy explores the roots of challenges, often tied to past experiences, mental health coaching is all about the present. It empowers you with skills to navigate challenges constructively. And both can complement each other seamlessly. Throughout this process, I've found that much of the knowledge isn't entirely new to me, but the pivotal piece for me has been the external accountability and impartial cheerleading provided by my coach. Having someone to celebrate small victories and guide me through practicing these skills has been invaluable. If you're considering investing in your well-being, I highly recommend exploring mental health coaching alongside therapy.
