As a football coach, setting goals and creating a vision are crucial for the success of your team. Defining specific and measurable objectives is the first step towards achieving success. Goals can be related to winning matches, improving individual skills, enhancing teamwork, or any other aspect you deem important. To create a compelling vision statement, think about the ultimate goal or purpose of your team. This statement should inspire and motivate your players and provide a direction for their efforts. Once you have defined your objectives, break them down into smaller, achievable targets. This will make the goals more manageable and allow you to track progress along the way. Communication is key! Share your vision and goals with your players and coaching staff. Explain why they are important and how they can contribute to achieving them. Encourage open communication and collaboration to ensure everyone is aligned and working towards the same vision. Develop a strategic plan that outlines the steps and actions required to reach your goals. Identify areas that need improvement, devise training programs, and allocate resources accordingly. Regularly review and adjust the plan as needed to stay on track. Monitor progress and provide feedback. Continuously assess the progress of your team towards the goals. Provide constructive feedback and support to individual players and the team as a whole. Celebrate achievements and address any setbacks or challenges that arise. Setting goals and creating a vision is an ongoing process. Regularly reassess and refine your objectives to keep your team motivated and focused on continuous improvement.

Have you ever tried using team coaching with no one else but yourself and not just that but also use GRID tool?😉 Well our fear friend Peter and Renewal Associates Ltd are explaining to us how is that possible, and more important what we can learn from it, why is it important?🙌 Full article on it you can read on this link: https://lnkd.in/dd5y_8MV 🛎 But one point we will share here as well: "As team leader we need to love and appreciate every member of our inner team, and not be ashamed of any one of them. If there are any, we are ashamed of, we need to find a way of developing them to change or help them successfully leave the team. Our biggest challenge is to help the team to be aligned to the collective purpose and key future challenges; to work together so the team becomes more than the sum of its parts. "🙌 How you like this approach? What it has learn you?🤓

Feedback is integral in a relationship between a coach and a player. Honesty is vital to maintaining trust, but it’s equally important to remain encouraging to promote player development. It can be difficult to find the right balance, but being honest and optimistic shows that you care about your players and the team’s growth and want what’s best for them. This level of honesty can help build faith between the group and encourage each individual to continue working to reach their potential.

Session Synopsis for a team building programme conducted Topic: Team Building Audience: Middle to Senior leadership Duration: 3 hours Activities: 1.OBJECTive speed dating 2.Group obstacle walk 3.Align your perfect numbers 4.Stop Start Continue The session began by setting in WOW(Ways of working) on a chart paper. This is really very important for both participants and the trainer to set in the expectations, tone and approach for the entire session. It was followed by objective speed dating which not only worked as an ice breaker but also helped to gauge perspectives the learners have on the topic and then you know from where you have to take the session forward. Thereafter was a discussion on what a team is, types of teams and stages of formation of team. The next activity planned was Group obstacle walk. It was done with a twist wherein no one was blindfolded to set in Trust which is very important factor for an effective team. It also helped to bring out learnings on importance of communication and common goal Thereafter was two way discussion on multiple aspects of team building. Next in line was activity 'Align your perfect numbers' The outcome planned through this activity was coherence and synergy. The last activity to collate the learnings was Stop Start Continue. It turned out to be an AAHA moment for me when one of the participants shared how he never understood the importance of people at the bottom of the pyramid and resolved to be empathetic towards his juniors. Challenge: Since participants were from different organisations who had never met before, You realise the success of your 3 hours programme when at last there were common talks and laughter and a sense of camaraderie!
