Over the past few months, I've poured my heart and soul into a transformative journey with Azubi Africa culminating in an exhilarating capstone project that I'm happy to share with you all! 🌍🌟 🔍💡 As part of this journey, I took the lead in crafting a user-friendly frontend application utilizing Streamlit for predictive customer churn analysis. 📈🔮 It was an exciting challenge, and I had the privilege of immersing myself in every facet of the project, from diving deep into data understanding and exploratory data analysis (EDA), to meticulously crafting machine learning models, and ultimately orchestrating the deployment process. 🤝💪 Collaborating within a dynamic team was an absolute joy, each day brimming with new discoveries and insights. Stepping into the role of a team lead, I embraced the responsibility of coordinating across diverse domains, aligning our efforts for a seamless project execution. 🌐🔗 ⏰⚙️ Condensing my 9 months of intensive studies into an intense 2-week sprint was a whirlwind experience! 📚🏃♂️ The culmination arrived as I proudly presented our achievement to a distinguished panel – a moment that encapsulated growth, dedication, and the power of teamwork. 🏆🎉 🙏 I wish to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Azubi Africa and the entire team for their unwavering support and boundless enthusiasm throughout this journey. 🤗 With this milestone as a launchpad, I'm eagerly anticipating a future filled with more ventures at the intersection of machine learning and productization. 🚀🤖 👉 Feel free to explore the deployed app right here: https://lnkd.in/dr_G_mFP 🌐✨ 📚 Curious to delve into the nitty-gritty? AiShields won the #1 cohort project as voted by #Data and #AI industry experts for the BCAMP Spring 2024 cohort, on May 24, 2024. On top of that 2 out of 5 apprentice MVP awards were awarded to members of the amazing team of apprentices that I mentored this spring BCAMP So grateful to my amazing team of apprentices: Agerke Balgabekova , Winner of the MVP Sentinel award, who did an excellent job on the #SensitiveInformationDisclosure data sanitizer, James Yu who did an excellent job on our #ModelDenialOfService Protection, Manda Li who did an excellent job on our #InsecureOutputHandling Protection, Phillip Rechani who won the apprentice MVP award for Innovation and did an excellent job on our #Overreliance detection, analysis, and reporting, and Tyler Lachney who did an excellent job on our #PromptInjectionProtection analysis, and reporting. If we could all do this in 5 weeks on a voluntary basis in our free time while attending to school, work, and family responsibilities imagine what we could do together in the future! They say: Time flies when you're having fun. I can't believe it's my 1 year work anniversary today! What an incredible journey the past year has been. Leaving my comfortable and stable university job for the private sector was very scary for me, especially given the negative things I'd heard about it. But The Data Shed and Hippo have made all my hesitation go away, and I can honestly say I feel incredibly lucky to become a shedder, then part of the herd. Hippo is such an amazing place to work and the opportunities I have been given here show how much they care about me and my growth. My personal highlights of the past year: 🏆 Delivered a proof-of-concept tool for our healthcare client using machine learning and GenAI technology, making a real difference in patient care with future development. 🏆 Shared my honest opinion with colleagues as a panelist on an AI panel discussion during AI week at Hippo. 🏆 Delivered my first public speech at PyData Leeds meetup. Thank you for those of you who came and listened to me. 🏆 Got promoted from Consultant to Intermediate Consultant. Thank you Hippo for the recognition and thanks to all who have encouraged, supported and helped me along the way. And most importantly: I've met some truly wonderful people.
