This isn’t a newly developed concept for me at all. It actually links back to something I started writing, planning, organizing, pitching and reshaping beginning 17 years ago when I was an Alcohol and Other Drug Community Organizer in the San Francisco Bay Area. I’ve narrowed the scope with the same mission that created my consulting business: private investment in the public good. Since 2007, my work, life and family path has changed. You might be surprised to know that as I sat in my tiny in-law apartment with my expensive graduate school writing skills, mapping out the vision for what started on paper as Community Resource Centers of America, I was just over a year out of the worst time in my adult life to date. My next post will touch on this, so now it’s your turn: How do you envision your dream and find the balance in life to make it a reality?

Exploring the Purple Ocean Strategy in Business 🗺️🧭 Many of us are familiar with the concepts of Blue 📘 and Red 🔴 Ocean strategies from the classic business literature. But let's consider the 'Purple Ocean Strategy' 🟣 — a blend of both approaches that is gaining traction. The Red Ocean Strategy is all about fierce competition in existing markets, where businesses battle for market share through pricing 💰, advertising 📢, and incremental improvements ⚙️. Conversely, the Blue Ocean Strategy is about innovation 🚀, creating new markets where competition is irrelevant, and demand is constructed afresh. It's about being different, not just better 🔍. So, what's a Purple Ocean Strategy? It's the art of finding the perfect balance. Imagine entering a competitive market (a red ocean) but doing so with a unique twist (blue ocean thinking). It's about pinpointing a broad market and then drilling down to serve a specialized niche with a custom solution 🎯. Take, for example, the CRM industry. It's crowded, highly competitive 🏢. Yet, by targeting a specific professional group like therapists, companies can create a bespoke CRM that addresses unique needs, standing out from the rest 🌟. Konfidens.com is a prime illustration of this strategy in action. Shout out to Konfidens and Aleksander Erichsen with team! 300 customers in 11 months https://lnkd.in/dqjt6Rnz As an entrepreneur or business leader, consider looking at vast, competitive markets through a purple lens 👓🦄. Find your niche and cater to it with precision. This approach could very well be the strategic edge your business needs ⚔️

QUESTION: What is meant by utilization rate? Understanding Utilization Rate The utilization rate is a fantastic metric that shows how efficiently you’re using your available time for client sessions. It’s crucial for understanding and enhancing the productivity and profitability of your practice. Example Calculation: Let’s say you have 20 client session slots available in your schedule per week. Out of these, you have 8 client sessions booked and 12 remain unbooked. Here’s how you calculate your utilization rate: 1. Billable Hours (Booked Sessions): 8 2. Available Hours (Available Sessions): 20 3. Utilization Rate Calculation: (8 booked sessions / 20 available sessions) * 100 = 40% This means your utilization rate is 40%, indicating 40% of your available session time is being utilized for client sessions. Why Your Utilization Rate Matters: Understanding this rate helps you make informed decisions about your practice, such as adjusting your availability, setting the right number of client sessions, or planning for growth. If your entire caseload disappeared tomorrow, what would you do? Recently, I asked a number of my present and past clients: If you lost your entire caseload tomorrow, what would you do? I received mixed responses... Some said they would probably panic, take on associate work, and register themself with insurers Some said they would refresh their profiles across online directories such as Psychology Today. Some said they would leverage their mailing list and their audience on social media to announce new spots opening. Others, said they would actually take advantage of that time - and use it to work on the back end of their business. & then I realised... An empty caseload might seem like a nightmare at first, but it can also be an opportunity. If you suddenly find yourself with a clear schedule, you can actually seize this learning moment to evolve your business model. By creating and selling your knowledge in a digital format or restructuring your current offerings, you can earn income regardless of your caseload. Do you want to convert your expert knowledge into a profitable digital course/product? 🚀 DM me the word “THRIVE” #socialmediamanageruk #socialmediamanagment #virtualasisstantforhire #virtualassistant #vaforhire #virtualassistantuk #virtualassistantfortherapists #virtualassistantforpsychologists #socialmediaadvice #socialmediatips #socialmediamarketing #therapistsofinstagram #psychologistsofinstagram #socialmediamarketinguk #socialmediamarketingmanager #socialmediaagencyuk #socialmediamarketingmarbella #socialmediamanagermarbella #socialmediamanager

In every onboarding meeting I ask the same question: "What are your agency's strategic goals and objectives?" The reason I ask this question is to ensure our implementation project is positioning the agency to meet the goals for their business. I also use it in project metrics to help determine the success of the project at project end. Yesterday, I met with an agency and asked this same question. The agency is new, but the owner is not new to home health. He has chosen to establish his agency in an area of his community that is underserved and on the lower end of the socioeconomic scale. His Response to my question: "I want to improve my community's physical and mental health and well being." He is gathering research on health statistics for his community. He is establishing relationships through networking, and has a solid plan for his business. We will implement the software, ensure he has the tools from the EMR that he needs to make the impact in the community he wants and to provide quality care to the community he loves. And that, my friends, is how you do home health care. Passion and fire in the belly to truly make an impact in the communities you serve. How do you measure the success of the agency? Only time will tell the overall success through the statistics year over year. But he certainly checks all the boxes for drive and commitment. #homehealthcare #homehealthdoneright #strategicobjectives #goals
