Going into Thanksgiving, I am going to do the incredibly expected thing of being thankful for the team, partners, and constellations of awesome people that have made Catapult Commercialization Services into what it is today. It is expected because we all know that this is not about me (ironically, despite the daily postings on my LinkedIn account). This is about the brands we help and the community of industry support we build now that helps the human race get to 2050. At the end of the day, these newer brands with novel approaches to food still have to be profitable to make a difference to the food system. Until they are profitable with the products they are putting out, there can be no lasting, market-supported change. We help put systems & equipment in place to support those scaling operations to increase profitability and capacity with a subject matter expertise in food. [pivoting conspicuously] Here are two webinars left this year! On November 29 at 12p EST, Catapult is co-hosting a webinar with Jonathan (Jon) Lackie at SQFI on "Scaling with SQF: Building a Foundation of Food Safety for Growth". Following the presentation, there will be ample time for Q&A with the presenter about the audience’s specific concerns. Ito-Yokado’s private brand, Fresh Food with Traceability, has served to connect producers and customers through safe and trusted food products since its debut in 2002. Fresh Food with Traceability shows customers who grew the produce in-store and where it was grown. It also shares the growers' passion and commitment to the product. To access this information, the names and portraits of the farmers and the product-linked QR codes are printed on the product packages. Customers can scan these codes to learn more about the producer. We also produce crayons that use substandard vegetables and vegetable scraps from Fresh Vegetables with Traceability, which is part of the Fresh Food with Traceability initiatives. Children can learn about the producers who grew the vegetables through their favorite crayons. Learn more about our approach to food safety and reliability: https://lnkd.in/gR6fKqEj
