Please review rates for your employees in NY! One of the major changes is an increase in minimum wage. It will increase from $14.20 an hour to $15 an hour for most of the state. The only exceptions will be New York City, Long Island and Westchester County. Important update on Minimum Wage Rates!💷 Starting today, there are changes in the National Minimum Wage rates in the UK. 🇬🇧 The minimum pay per hour that most workers are entitled to by law varies based on age and apprentice status. As of April 1, 2024, workers aged 21 and above must be paid at least the National Living Wage, which is the highest rate of the National Minimum Wage. Reminder to New York employers, as of January 1st the minimum wage increases to $16/hr for NYC, Westchester and Long Island. For all other areas in New York, it's $15/hr. The minimum wage will increase incrementally over the next few years based on the region where employees work as follows: New York City, Westchester and Long Island: 2024 – $16.00/hour 2025 – $16.50/hour 2026 – $17.00/hour For the rest of New York: 2024 – $15.00/hour 2025 – $15.50/hour 2026 – $16.00/hour
