In case you need a good report to combat misattribution. It's NOT solar, wind and batteries that are driving electricity costs up... "The real drivers of climbing electricity rates are spikes in fossil gas prices, rising costs to maintain and rebuild aging and stressed grid infrastructure, and a utility business model that incentivizes big capital investments that customers have to pay off over decades." https://lnkd.in/eTgxF23X

Don’t blame clean energy for rising electric bills

Not sure if this logic makes sense. Natural gas prices, adjusted for inflation, remain low. There are many reasons electricity prices are climbing. High hydrocarbon prices, at the point of production, is not one of them. Anyone with access to reliable sources of data (EIA, BLS) can see that it is government policies limiting access to hydrocarbons that are causing the spikes. Also, if hydrocarbon prices are so prohibitively high, why do wind and solar developers require guaranteed prices that are way above market prices?

Duplicating the grid increases rates. And include US taxpayers in the victimized, not only ratepayers. Coercive energy policy raises rates to benefit Big Wind, Big Solar, Big Battery.

“Don’t blame clean energy” Renewables are anything but clean.

Did anyone mention that motor fuel prices are up due to the throttling of oil and gas products by the Biden administration?

Of course... 😘 I would claim the same nonsense if I was in the 'sustainable' energy business.

the renewable energy zealots forget that in many cases, cheaper energy generation was shut down and swapped for so called renewable energy sources. We shut down coal powered generation for less dependable solar and wind which, still requires a stable on demand source. In Alberta’s case, natural gas fired plants provide the dependable source now along with some hydro.

You need to look at the “Why” of increasing/spiking oil and gas prices. All of it artificially inflated by poor energy strategy, and also government intervention to either raise taxes or make solar and wind look more attractive. Use a 5 whys analysis to get to the bottom of price instability. It’s not natural market forces, proudly proclaimed by capitalist democracies. After the transition of energy types that will serve only to enrich and alternative cabal of “big green” corporations, where do you think the lost tax’s revenues will be harvested from. “We will reduce our expenditure to meet lower income levels” is not in ant government lexicon except as window dressing . Everyone will pay larger amounts of income or suffer loss of services

Have you checked the historical market data for natural gas? With over 40% of our power generation coming from natural gas, I would strongly suggest that those who govern electrical rates are not keeping power generators honest in their rate calculations. Natural gas markets are under 5-year lows!

Climate Change and Oil It's common sense that you must eliminate the gas-guzzling cars before you cancel pipelines and restrict oil production in the United States. Democrats have raised the cost of gasoline, burdening the poor and middle class. Biden Quote: "No more subsidies for the fossil fuel industry, No more drilling, including offshore. No ability for the oil industry to continue to drill, period,"    Some believe past and future political contributions influence how the Democrats spend our Climate Change tax money.  China is happy.        Unfortunately, dirty oil is the lifeblood of our economy. Democrats are destroying our economy. There is no plan to phase out oil without ruining our economy. If their foolishness continues, we will have to learn a different language.  I'm too old to learn Chinese. The Republican Plan Democrats don't bother looking. Save our economy!
