He worked for Space X for 2 years building rocket engines, was a competitor on American Ninja Warrior, and sang in a Black Sabbath Cover Band! The Doheny Desal Project has secured an additional $7.75M in grant funding. SCWD extends its deepest appreciation to Senator Laphonza Butler, Senator Alex Padilla, and to Rep. Mike Levin for their continued support and advocacy. Director Rick Erkeneff expressed his gratitude, stating, “Their efforts have been instrumental in securing the funding needed to move this project forward, ensuring a sustainable water future for our community.” This grant funding supports our mission for reliable water supply and reduces ratepayer costs. Today’s Leadership Team meeting at South Coast Water District was a game-changer! 🌟 We were thrilled to have empowerment speaker Marie Knight provide insights on "Understanding Communication and Collaboration." From icebreakers to group discussions, every moment was filled with valuable learning. Our breakout groups, using dice to select from a diverse set of discussion prompts, opened up a dynamic exchange of ideas 🎲 Today was a reminder of the power of communication and the incredible potential of our team when we come together.
