🌈✊🏾June is a powerful month for celebration and reflection, marking both Pride Month and Juneteenth. In my blog post, I explore the intersectionality of these significant events and the importance of creating safe and inclusive workspaces for all communities. Diversity isn't just about numbers; it's about fostering an environment where everyone feels valued and respected. Whether it's supporting LGBTQ colleagues during Pride or recognizing the historical importance of Juneteenth for Black Americans, every effort counts towards building a truly inclusive workplace. Every step we take towards a more inclusive environment is a step towards a better workplace for all > https://bit.ly/3yLHcyM #BMC #PrideMonth #Juneteenth #Intersectionality #InclusiveWorkplace #DiversityAndInclusion #SafeWorkspaces

HRBP/ Manager at LIXIL Water Technology Americas | Problem Solver | Life Long Learner | Champion of People
Real change begins with education. I am proud that LIXIL offers many learning opportunities to create a more inclusive workplace – no judgment, no assessments – just opportunities to raise awareness, reflect on our own experiences, educate ourselves to learn and grow and ultimately, be an advocate. Recently, I attended Fostering LGBTQ Allyship at Work by Out & Equal. It was a powerful and practical session using everyday situations to demonstrate how we can Listen, Educate, Notice and Speak up to become a true ally to our colleagues, friends and family members. #OneLIXIL #LIXIL #DEI #GlobalDiversityAwarenessMonth Leverage your voice. Work through your discomfort to grow. Be an Upstander. Diversity only makes us stronger.

As #PrideMonth comes to a close, we celebrate our colleagues, consultants and clients in the LGBTQ community. As an LGBTQ owned business, we’re dedicated to creating a workplace where everyone feels welcome and valued, which is why "belonging" is one of our four core values. During Pride Month, we commit to making sure everyone can be their true selves, which empowers them to do their best work and live their best lives. "Belonging" means more than just including everyone—it’s about making sure everyone feels seen, heard and supported, as our founder notes below: #ABConsulting #consulting #businessconsulting

This year's theme for #IDAHOBIT is "No One Left Behind." As an Ally, I stand for and support a world where people can be themselves. Without the need of "thinking twice". (ℹ: With each first-time interaction, LGBTQ often may need to decide between concealing intrinsic parts of their identity or potentially exposing themselves to a change in how their colleagues perceive/treat them, personally and professionally. This constant, meticulous re-examination of what to disclose about one’s own identity, and the emotional and mental burden such a process may entail, has been referred to as “the cost of thinking twice.” This term was first introduced into the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) space by Claudia Brind-Woody, Managing Director at IBM.) #TeamHealthineers

#Pridemonth is a monumental time of the year. It is a time to remember the remarkable equal rights journey the LGBTQ community has fought for decades. And it is a month where I personally take some time to reflect on how far we’ve come as a country. Pride Month also serves as a reminder of the importance of respect and inclusivity in all aspects of our lives. For Corporations world-wide , it’s also a reminder that we need to hit the accelerator on making workplaces welcoming for all, year-round. #StaffWorQs, we firmly believe that businesses play a pivotal role in driving positive societal change and we will be a catalyst to drive such a change as we continue to create diverse and inclusive workplaces and foster innovation. generating tangible benefits for individuals #PrideMonth #PrideCelebration

I collaborated with Qrata to highlight the role of workplace policies to promote psychological safety in the work environment for LGBTQ employees. Pride is political, Pride is about policies and reforms. #humanresources #dei #pride #organizationalsafety #inclusivity #workplaceequality #workplaceculture #equality
In today's evolving workplace, company policies play a critical role in ensuring an inclusive and supportive environment for all employees, including those who need it the most: the LGBTQ community. "I think policies are essential anti-discrimination safeguards and act as necessary checks on the organizational environment. They also go to great lengths in making LGBTQ employees feel safe within the organizational climate." — Aritra Chatterjee, clinical psychologist and a member of the LGBTQIA community Here are some companies that have created policies that should be replicated to create a more inclusive office for LGBTQ individuals.

Today is National Coming Out Day! A day first recognized in 1988 and it is a day that symbolizes the ‘coming out’ that members of the LGBTQ community do. And today, on this NCOD in LinkedIn land, I ask everyone to look at the organization you work for and if the policies, practices, culture and people in your organization actively support inclusive policies and you would personally feel comfortable coming out and being out and open where you are. It’s not just policies on paper. It’s are they put into practice, are LGBTQ people going to be comfortable where you work? Would they be able to be their authentic selves? Would they be actively supported? As more attacks come on the rights of the community it’s important that you as an ally are a part of creating a positive culture in the workplace, free of discrimination and filled, instead, with support. So today, as with every day, be a champion of those around you who may be questioning if they could come out safely at the workplace. Today, check over your workplace policies and flag those that are not inclusive. Today, as with everyday, be a part of a culture of inclusiveness. Be loud. Be proud. #NCOD #nationalcomingoutday
