Last month, the SCP team had the pleasure of visiting our friends at Recology and their amazing new materials recovery facility (MRF) in Santa Rosa. How well do you know what belongs in the trash vs your blue or green bins? Check out the Sorting Guides and Resources on Recology's website for valuable tips and helpful guides!

Sonoma Clean Power is pleased to invite you to a Town Hall next week where we will present the key findings from SCP’s recent Transportation Needs Assessment. This event will take place on Wednesday, June 5th, from 4:30-6PM online via Zoom or in person at SCP’s Customer Center (741 Fourth Street, Santa Rosa). During this session, EVNoire, a nationally renowned minority-owned organization specializing in transportation, energy, and environmental equity, will share the results of the assessment. Following the presentation, we will host a discussion featuring perspectives from the NAACP Santa Rosa – Sonoma County, the North Bay Electric Auto Association, and Bikeable Santa Rosa. This will be a valuable opportunity to share insights, discuss unmet needs, and explore how the assessment can benefit our community in the coming years. Please register online to receive the Zoom link. To ensure we have adequate seating, please let us know if you plan to attend in person. https://lnkd.in/gbmUSUmu

The Pacific Environmental Education Center (PEEC) has upgraded from their 23-year-old Chevy pickup to a brand new EV! This new truck is essential for transporting staff and supplies to various locations, including the sand dunes, Jughandle State Preserve, and Mendocino tide pools. "Without the contribution from Sonoma Clean Power, PEEC would not have been able to raise the funds needed for the purchase of the truck," said Lorrie Lagasse, Board President. "Because we are an environmental education camp, having an electric vehicle fits in with our goals. We are able to walk the walk.” Discover more about Pacific Environmental Education Center (PEEC) and stay connected by following their social media accounts! Are you with a nonprofit looking to make the switch? You can get up to $22,500 toward the purchase of an EV through SCP's Nonprofit EV Incentives program! Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/g64miwFe

Summer is quickly approaching! When temperatures rise, so does the stress on the electrical grid. SCP's GridSavvy Rewards can help you earn money while helping to reduce that stress! You’ll earn $2 for every kilowatt-hour (kWh) you save during the hours requested in the energy saving alert. 1 kilowatt-hour (kWh) is roughly equal to how much electricity it takes to run one dishwasher cycle. Help California prevent rotating power outages and reduce the need for fossil fuels. Enroll now. https://lnkd.in/gREtUf_t
