This summer, two of our Son of a Saint mentees, Jaedon and Bryce, have taken on a six-week, full-time internship with the New Orleans Saints Equipment Department. Through their internship experience, Jaedon and Bryce are learning the day-to-day operations of the equipment department, as well as learning the individual needs that each player has, ranging from the shoes on their feet to the helmets and shoulder pads that are fit to exact specifications. We would like to send a huge thank you to John Baumgartner and Richard Killian II for their mentorship while Bryce and Jaedon are with the Equipment Department. We'd also like to thank the Saints Organization for welcoming Son of a Saint mentees into the building with open arms and allowing them to grow their experience in the sports industry.

Super grateful for all opportunities Michelle Carpenter has provided me! In case you want a run-down of why you should consider a minor in the Strome College of Business: 1. You'll add onto your skill set! These are incredibly valuable to market yourself as a stronger candidate when interviewing for internships or jobs! 2. Diversifying you internship/job opportunities! Business skills are valuable in any field and you never know when they'll come in handy! 3. Cross disciplinary connections! Choosing a coinciding minor allows you two different perspectives to think in while choosing your strategic decisions!

A big thank you to three of our marketing minors that shared their perspective on the benefits to adding a minor to their major during our Minors Fair in Strome College today! Emily Harrison, Elizabeth Gildea, and Caroline Matthews great insight on how adding a minor has personally helped you through internship opportunities, diversifying your skill set and providing a cross disciplinary perspective. This event was part of a joint Strome Academic Clubs event in Strome College. We appreciate all who helped promote the event and make it possible especially Sara Russell Riggs.

10 things I’ve learn from my internship 1. It’s takes a lot of patience with each horse 2.every horse reacts to things differently 3.every horse takes more work then others 4.there is a lot of paper work that is done for each horse that is in 5.each horse has different diets to help them gain weight 6. Some horses need more of a workout then others do 7. Some things that need fix in a horse can be fixed in a day and some take longer 8.keeping the routine will help the horse more then a flexible schedule 9.even old horses can get a workout and conditioned to where they can run like they use to 10. Each treatment like the laser light has different positions you put on the horse to help the horse
