We join communities across New Hampshire as we mourn the death of security officer and former police chief, Bradley Haas, in the tragic shooting at New Hampshire Hospital yesterday. We extend our appreciation for first responders who adeptly stepped up to curtail further harm and to provide care in a time of crisis yesterday. They are steadfast in their service to provide safety and care for residents in our communities, our patients, and our health care staff and for that we are immensely grateful. We extend our heavy hearts and thoughts to our health care colleagues with New Hampshire Hospital, as they heal from this tragic event. These dedicated colleagues offer compassionate care to our community, and now we offer our compassion in return. We share a common mission to care for our New Hampshire communities, and we stand ready to provide support and offer our help as we collectively face this great tragedy.

Southern NH Health recently celebrated Healthcare Quality Week with an annual Quality Symposium. This year’s theme was “Game On: The Path to Process Improvement”. Teams from across Southern NH Health shared their quality improvement efforts with a board game twist. Each team presented their project to a panel of judges and were scored on how well the project aligned with SNHH’s strategic goals of value, growth, engagement, and quality. The teams also created posters that were publicly displayed in the Medical Center, and staff had the chance to select a “People’s Choice” winner! The event included a keynote address from Dr. Trinidad Tellez of Health Equity Solutions called: “Practicing Equity So Patients Can Win!” This event celebrated the tremendous efforts teams are making across the organization to improve our patients’ experiences. Congratulations to each of the winners! Thank you to staff across SNHH for the high-quality care you deliver every day.
On October 4th, Elliot Health System hosted its annual Through the Years Celebration to honor 622 employees of The Elliot and SolutionHealth with five-year milestones with our organizations. Combined, they provided more than 7,500 years of service! Congratulations to all of our employees who have reached a milestone with us!
