There are Social Media Managers and Social Media Strategists. They are not the same. And they are not entry-level roles. If you or your business are looking for someone to just take your ideas and blindly post them to a Facebook or Instagram account for you- you need a Virtual Assistant. Just like you need to have goals for your business in order to track and measure success- you need to have goals for hiring and outsourcing. If you hire someone with Virtual Assistant experience and expect them to operate like a Social Media Strategist, you're both going to be disappointed. Communities are HUGE right now. After Covid, the need for community, support, and belonging skyrocketed. Communities have become the ultimate sales pipeline hack. As the founder, you're benefitting from networking and branding AND now you have this community that is a pool of people picking up what you're putting down. You've built connections, email lists, and a hefty sales pipeline - All from getting people in the same digital room and offering them something they value. I mean look at the salary for this position! 80k!? In the social media world of billionaires, inflation, and boss bitch empires - we seem to forget that regular people exist, and 80k is a damn good and realistic salary for a remote position that doesn't require a college degree or expensive certifications. That will pay bills and feed a family. That means that THIS company values its community at probably 4 or 5x that amount. (Because that's business) That's what...400k? Communities are on the rise...and honestly? I might jump on the bandwagon. 💬 What's your take on the community trend?
