📣 We're pleased to announce Michael Bonacker and James Freis as new members of Solaris' Supervisory Board. During the general assembly, Michael and James were appointed to join our supervisory board consisting of Ramin Niroumand, Burkhard Eckes and Tomoyuki Nii. Michael has 30 years of professional experience in financial services including roles in management, investment banking and consulting. He has held senior management positions such as Group Head of Strategy at UBS and Head of Development at Commerzbank. James served as the United States Department of the Treasury’s Director of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. “Solaris has been built on fantastic technological foundations and has shown tremendous resilience during the past 12 months to establish a pole position in the embedded finance market. While the market has huge potential, Solaris must now focus on long-term organizational transformation. 👩💼 Last week Solaris’ Head of KYC Operations, Katarzyna Mrowińska LL.M attended Money20/20 as part of the RiseUp program. The Money20/20 RiseUp program promotes diversity in fintech, and supports women on their journey to leadership with the network, tools and techniques to strategically advance their career and reach new heights. Katarzyna was selected alongside 30 other women who are making a mark on fintech out of 250 applicants: “I gained valuable insights into leadership, the power of a contrarian mindset, and managing imposter syndrome. The experience was truly enriching, highlighting that Money 20/20 is not just the event about trends, technology, and fintech.
