As a % of total electricity production, solar PV has been increasing at a steady rate of ~0.75% per year for the last 4 years (2023 = 5.6%). At the current rate, solar PV will only produce ~11.5% of total electrical production by 2030. In order to get to the 30% of total by 2030 target, the % of total needs to increase by 4x it's current rate.

Joe, We have made seismic steps forward for plug-in solar. Regulators can't brush us under the rug anymore. UL can't deliberate forever. We have clear goals of enabling folks to own and generate electricity at the 5KW system level. Deploying solar as an appliance, by means of a 240V, split-phased plug on a dedicated circuit enables individuals and small businesses to own their generation in a way that construction projects can't. **This is the point of disruption.** Scholars and engineers at NCSU, Berkeley and Stanford have looked at this approach and see that the danger is real: to the profits of utilities. But we have yet to see a more equitable solution than the grid tied version of a small generator. You might be aware that there is a considerable amount of support for Justice 40 deployment right now. Here is our differentiator: 1. Our solution works. Today. Now. 2. Our solution is small when only deployed for one home. It's huge when deployed large scale. 3. It's enabling, revolutionary, simple, and definitely disrupts the status quo. PLUG IN. Something missing in that datasheet : In 2023, utility-scale solar power generated 164.5 terawatt-hours (TWh), or 3.9% of electricity in the United States. Total solar generation that year, including estimated small-scale photovoltaic generation, was 238 TWh. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_power_in_the_United_States

Yes, we're seeing an increased interest in solar, and especially storage paired with solar. Half of our residential installations this year have been paired with storage.
