MILLIONS OF FROGS A Tale of Unexpected Croaks A farmer visited a restaurant in town and asked if he could supply a million frog legs. The restaurant owner, surprised, questioned where he could possibly get so many frog legs! The farmer replied, "There is a pond near my house that is teeming with frogs - millions of them. Their constant croaking all night long is driving me crazy!" The restaurant owner and farmer struck a deal: the farmer would deliver five hundred frogs per batch over the coming weeks. When the farmer returned the following week with just two scrawny little frogs, he looked embarrassed. The restaurant owner asked, "What happened to the rest?" The farmer admitted, "I was mistaken. There were only these two frogs in the pond. But they sure made a lot of noise!" MORAL LESSON: When you hear gossip or criticism about yourself, it's often fueled by just one or two noisy frogs. Don't let this negativity bother you; it's not worth your peace of mind. Similarly, when you overthink and imagine a multitude of problems that keep you awake, facing them often reveals they are just minor issues that can be easily managed. Focus on addressing concerns directly rather than allowing them to consume your thoughts and emotions. #livelife #positive

Mmmmm....have you already figured it out, based on the smell in the air? It's National Pizza Party Day! Yep - let it be known that the third Friday in May is your invitation to pizza it up. Or not? Pizza parties remind me of one of three things: 1. When I did enough summer reading to earn the free personal pan pizza at Pizza Hut (awesome) 2. When I worked at Ultrazone Laser Tag as a high schooler and served pizza at birthday parties (smelly) 3. When I've received pizza as a surprise lunch at work for reasons I don't understand (a bit suspicious? What's this pizza about?) So with all appreciation of pizza itself, when 2 out of 3 of my pizza experiences raise flags I think it's worth talking about. Pizza (or donuts, or bagels) alone doesn't build community, share appreciation, or even nourish. When we want to celebrate, let's make sure to add: • A specific reason we're celebrating • An opportunity for folks to co-create that celebration (what would be preferred and meaningful from them, related to food and beyond that) • Concrete, impact-based positive feedback What's the best way you've celebrated at work? #humanresources #mentalhealth #sustainability

I love Reddit, Inc., and feel like it's where I go to get an honest pulse on a topic. Perusing this morning, and I came across this post re: ramekins at restaurants. This feels like a debate that's been going on for a while, but I'd love to get other's opinions on where you stand. It hurts my sustainability heart to think theft and scraping dishes is the reason restaurants can't invest in nice items... but what's the solution? In other countries, I see things like banana leaves used... but at the scale of some restaurants, it would have to be manufactured and price-comparable. Thoughts? #thegreatdebate #ramekins #restaurantops #restauranttech #scienceclub https://lnkd.in/gBufessb

The Connector: I help companies with their business expansion. Top Customer Retention Voice, Top Account Management Voice, Top Sales Voice
A Private affair… As a business consultant, entertaining is a significant aspect of my job, and part of that involves staying informed about the latest dining trends and top culinary experiences. Being a self-proclaimed foodie and #TheConnector, I simply can't resist the temptation to indulge in two private dining experiences in a week. It's not just about networking and building relationships; it's also about exploring new flavors, discovering hidden gems, and enjoying the art of fine dining. As I was saying, I attended two experiences, and while one of them was highly rated, I found myself a bit disappointed. Although most of the diners seemed to enjoy the meal, I personally didn't find it as appealing. I felt that two of the dishes missed the mark in terms of taste and freshness. Initially, I wondered if it was just my personal preference until someone else shared similar feedback. It was a relief to know that my palate wasn't playing tricks on me. On the other hand, my experience at Cassandra Xu’s private dining was incredibly satisfying! Every dish was absolutely delicious, with my favorite being the ribeye steak with celeriac mash. The dishes were cooked to perfection, simple yet flavorful, reminiscent of how my dad used to prepare steak- just a sprinkle of salt and a thin coat of oil. Oh she has put in more hours in preparing the steak, and char grills to perfection. The steak may have appeared undercooked, but it was actually juicy and tender. What made the evening memorable was the engaging conversation at the table beside the food. We shared stories ranging from the history of Fred Bread to a whiskey connoisseur's homemade Umeshu and the behind-the-scenes journey of a celebrity chef who made it to the top 3 in the Master Chef cooking competition. I also had the opportunity to discuss my involvement in #SBPWA and how I would like to give back to the community. Upon leaving Cassandra Xu's private dining experience, we were pleasantly surprised to receive complimentary bread and a bottle of Dutch peanut butter from Fred Bread to take home. It was a thoughtful gesture that added an extra touch of delight to an already wonderful evening filled with delicious food and engaging conversations. https://lnkd.in/eauQzNTK ✈️If you are considering #overseas #businessexpansion or seeking #humancapital investments that can lead to significant #costsavings for your company, please DM me for a meeting to explore these opportunities further. Bringing you joy through the food I love with Cookery Experiences Private Dining Gift Vouchers As featured on the BBC
Bread is an important part of a meal for me. I definitely choose chapatis over rice to eat with any dish. Today, I needed a different kind of bread to have with crispy fried oyster mushrooms (you will have to wait for that beauty) I find such peace in making flat breads and love to teach the essence of this in my classes and workshops. For more information, just send me a message. Ela Bringing you joy through the food I love xx #flatbread #indiancookingclass #indiancookeryclasses #cookeryschool #cookingschool #cookingclass
