Last year, the Electricity Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) faced serious challenges during record-breaking summer heat. This year, despite demand being higher than ever, the grid is holding up fine and there have been no rolling blackouts or calls for customers to conserve energy. Why is this? We have the state’s increasingly diverse mix of renewable energy generation and storage to thank. Texas is providing an example of how #renewableenergy plus #energystorage can strengthen and balance the grid!
