This is really amazing stuff. Regardless of political stripe, I doubt anyone's in favor of huge piles of garbage polluting the ocean. The Ocean Cleanup is removing trash from the oceans, collecting it before it enters the ocean from some of the worst polluting rivers and then it looks like they're recycling much of the plastic in partnership with companies. It can be amazing what is found in a river, here in one of the main rivers in Oslo the Trash trawl collects a vast range of marine litter items. The Oslo council has created a display unit to show what marine litter can be found in the river. The Trash trawl is a product in the Portbin tide family of products, whereby no power is needed to operate the product as the tide will do the work at approx 2 knots of flow can work in a number of tides and water levels and will work 24/7 without any electric or hydraulic power only tidal power as the marine litter is collected in a net this needs to be emptied when full( in Oslo this is done at least once a week) Why not get in contact with the Zwanny team to discuss marine litter collection options, and if in The UK we can visit you to discuss a number of options dealing with marine litter. If you’ve attended one of our trash cleanups, you know we are serious about our categorization and weighing at each event. For the past ten years, Anacostia Riverkeeper has collected data on every piece of trash we remove from the Anacostia River. Alternatively, you can put them on your garden as fertiliser. This summer, Environmental Services Association puts a spotlight on fire risks. After all, preventing recycling and waste fires is a responsibility we all share. Karst systems—the Swiss-cheese like network of caves, sink holes and springs—are wonders of biodiversity. The easiest way to protect them is often to stopping problems at the surface. The porous nature of karst systems offers direct access for storm runoff and excess nutrients that plunge into sinkholes, springs and other natural features. Curbing erosion and reducing runoff can help keep harmful chemicals from entering caves and underground waterways. Preventing harmful materials from coming in is a lot easier than trying to pull them out. That's important in Missouri, where we have more than 6,300 caves. Missouri sits in the Interior Highlands region, which runs through much of the state into Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma and includes and extensive karst system.
