I still remember when we started to craft embossing tools for tobacco packaging in 2010. We were shocked… It was still common practice to order new bases for each new design. Something we overcame already in the early 2000s for printing cylinders and we established a robust recycling system. Why? For printers to use their existing bases and not argue about excessive lead times for new bases. Thus, with our partner K. Walter - Plating and Processes , we invented a new sleeve recycling system.
