While walking on the beach one early morning, I found this bottle partially buried in the sand among shells and driftwood. Using my 50mm lens, I captured this shot by overexposing by one stop and shooting into the sun at 1/100 sec in shutter priority mode. I still had a 3-stop ND filter on from filming earlier. This scene feels metaphorical for the challenges of 2020, though I can’t pinpoint exactly how (perhaps the message is in the bottle). What do you think?
