When we do a Reef Check Ecodiver Course, the first dive is the buoyancy test. If the student does not do well during the buoyancy test, we would advise them to gain additional dive experience before continuing the course. Thats why our requirements to join our Ecodiver course is for divers with more than 25 logged dives. Why we emphasise good buoyancy for divers before they join our course? It is to avoid damaging the reef while collecting good data.
