Ever wondered how luxury fashion brands like Gucci, Balenciaga and Saint Laurent train their retail frontline? 🛍️ Well, today we can tell you - it’s with eduMe! Multinational luxury goods corporation Kering (who own the brands above as well as many more) was looking for a training solution that was more scalable than their current in-person sessions. With so many sub-brands and locations, they needed a way to quickly roll out training that was bitesize, engaging and standardized. By partnering with eduMe, they were able to give retail associates passwordless access to social media-inspired training on store security and inventory loss. This not only resulted in a better experience for their learners, but also gave Kering greater visibility (and ultimately confidence) around workforce knowledge. Since launching, Kering has seen: 🌟 75% training completion rate 🌟 68% training engagement rate 🌟 98% workforce satisfaction with training We’re so excited to be working with Kering, and can’t wait to see what else they can achieve with frontline-optimized training 🚀 Read the full case study here: https://lnkd.in/ewQS4wqQ #frontlinetraining

Hello Everyone 😊, I just completed lululemon's Merchandising on Forage. In the simulation I: 1.) Completed a job simulation where I assisted the lululemon merchandising team in planning for inventory of lululemon's shorts capsule. 2.) Created a pivot table to display $ and units of lululemon Shorts shipped across the globe and in key regions. Summarized these findings to assist with inventory management and financial planning. 3.) Created a line sheet for the Spring 2022 shorts capsule at lululemon and summarized the SKU count for all channels. Checked sales from the previous day and compared metrics against prior sales and calculated full-price sell-through to assist with real-time decisions to appropriately manage lululemon's inventory. 4.) Evaluated lululemon's two major competitors’ product-type business strategies by analyzing each brand, ranking their product categories and reviewing the assortment, color stories, marketing, and promotions they offer. I then summarized my findings for my manager. What skills did i learn: -How to effectively manage the Assortment of products for Lululemon -In-store merchandising -Analyzed the data and made a forecast for the future analysis Thank you to @Forage and @lululemon for offering me this wonderful opportunities. 🎉 #forage #lululemon #virtualinternship #merchandising #jobsimulation

We caught up with our Centre Manager, Karen, to discuss our creative solutions to retail issues. Q: How does Livingston Designer Outlet approach retail issues? A: Our approach is a partnership with our brands, which encourages an open dialogue made possible by the turnover lease model. Both the retailer and outlet finds mutual value in shared sales data, enabling support and tactical activity to boost sales. The Outlet model enables the collaboration of seasonal discount days across the outlet brands to drive sales and footfall at key periods throughout the year, attracting new guests from secondary catchments and beyond. Q: How does Livingston Designer Outlet tackle busy seasons / holidays? A: With Nike, we found that at peak periods their logistics team were unable to replenish the store as regularly as required. Therefore, we provided additional temporary storage for a specific period, allowing them to build up stock levels ahead to maximise sales. We also provided additional space for Clarks during the back-to-school season, to help with the upsurge in children buying new school shoes and avoid crowding in store. These creative solutions help to maximise the customers’ experiences with us. Q: How does Livingston Designer Outlet tackle the decline in market recruitment? A: We support brands with both internal and external recruitment fairs, taking the outlet to Edinburgh, Napier University, West Lothian College and local secondary schools. We also support brands by providing training, recognition and empowerment amongst staff through Project Aspire - a programme we ignited in 2019 to take great care of our guests and the environment, as well as achieve commercial success. Through the Retail Programme, we work with a school each year to bring a business concept to life through visual merchandising, marketing and service. By offering marketing and retail advice, we introduce students to a career in retail.” #Retail #CentreManger #LivingstonDesignerOutlet #RetailSector

I’m happy to share that I’ve obtained a new certification: lululemon - Planning Job Simulation from Forage! - Completed a job simulation where I worked in the lululemon merchandising team on the sale of Men's T-shirts. - Created an open-to-buy forecast model to assist the merchandising team for the Men's T-shirt category at lululemon. - Presented my financial plan for the merchandising of Men's t-shirts to my manager. - Prepared an email to my manager outlining my hypothesis for why there was a significant underperformance against the forecast for the Men's T-shirt business. - Having been notified of a potential supply chain issue that will impact the sale of Men's T-shirts, considered the most appropriate response to this problem, should it arise. Dick's Sporting Goods: 🚀 Record Sales Spark 📈 Biggest Expansion in Years! After achieving its highest sales quarter in history with Q4 sales reaching $3.9 billion, Dick’s Sporting Goods is gearing up for its largest square footage expansion since 2017. I’m Ray, an investment sales agent that specializes in Texas retail properties. This expansion involves significant capital investments directed towards the inauguration of new stores, enhancement, and relocation of current ones, alongside advancements in technology and supply chain capabilities. The plan includes the rollout of 15 more experiential House of Sport locations, with eight slated to open in 2024, and the introduction of 16 next-generation Dick’s stores, indicating a strategic shift towards more engaging and experiential retail spaces. 🏗️🏬 These initiatives are underpinned by robust financial performance, with net sales witnessing nearly a 5% increase to almost $13 billion and comparable store sales growing by 2.4%. Dick’s ambitious expansion and investment plan is fueled by the success and promise of its House of Sport and next-generation stores, which have become a cornerstone for the brand's future retail strategy. 📊💼 These stores, offering unique features like climbing walls and multisport fields, have not only attracted consumers from broader regions but also encouraged more frequent visits and longer stays. 🧗♂️⚽ www.shopcenterpros.com www.linktr.ee/raycrebroker #DicksSportingGoods #RetailExpansion #RecordSales #HouseOfSport #NextGenStores #RetailInnovation #SportsRetail #ClimbingWalls #MultiSport #ExperientialRetail #StoreInvestment #TechnologyInRetail #SupplyChainAdvancement #FinancialPerformance #RetailGrowth #RayKang #RayCREBroker #MarcusMillichap

A Humbling Lesson in the Power of Knowledge As a marketing professional, I thought I had it all figured out. But a recent experience at Bata Shoe Company taught me a valuable lesson in the importance of seeking knowledge beyond assumptions. During a visual merchandise training session, my superior, Mr Chimusimbe, asked our team what we understood by "POP". To my surprise, everyone answered incorrectly, referring to Point of Purchase. But, the correct answer was Point of Parity. At Bata, we display our products with a POP, which means showcasing our signature brand, Bata shoes, with a clear and consistent message. This experience taught me the importance of seeking knowledge beyond assumptions and not being afraid to ask questions. It's a reminder to keep advancing ourselves, learning from our mistakes, and embracing the power of knowledge. Let's keep growing and motivating each other! #BataShoeCompany #RetailExcellence #MarketingLessons #KnowledgeIsPower #GrowthMindset #ContinuousLearning
