If a recruiter gets upset or angry with you for not taking a job offer through them then they're not working in your interest. Full stop. This should be a huge red flag for any candidate. I've worked with dozens of candidates a second and even third time on their jobsearch after they've taken an alternative role via another recruiter, or even taken a counter-offer to stay with their current employer after swearing nothing could ever keep them there. As recently as last month, I helped to place a Civil Engineer in Liverpool 2 whole years after they took a counter-offer. I actually placed them in the exact same company they originally rejected. The only reason this could happen and they felt they could re-approach me is because, as a recruiter, you have to accept people's reasoning and you have to trust them. It's their job, their life, and they're the one who has to attend the job every day for the next 3, 5 or 10 years. And sometimes the role or the timing just isn't right. People aren't commodities. If you want a no-pressure, personalised jobsearch specific to your needs, please feel free to send me an enquiry. #civilengineering #structuralengineering #jobhunt #designengineering

Construction companies face unique challenges when it comes to locating and hiring workers. Our next few posts will highlight some of these challenges and identify potential reasons why traditional job boards simply do not work for the construction industry. 1st - Job boards are too saturated with job postings and lack screening processes. The byproduct of this is a limited source of applicants that tend to be unqualified and job posts buried among many others across multiple business sectors. Construction companies need to stand out to attract the right candidates, and unfortunately, they usually are just wasting time and resources. GoFindBuild is working hard to build the right tools for the industry; follow us to stay informed throughout our journey!

The construction industry is booming, but navigating the job market can feel like climbing scaffolding in the dark (yikes!). That's where a recruiter that specializes in the industry, like myself, can become your safety line. Here's why connecting with one is a game-changer: 1. Access Hidden Opportunities: Forget endless job boards. Recruiters have insider knowledge of unadvertised positions, giving you a first look at top companies and exciting projects. 2. Find the Perfect Fit: Your skills and career goals deserve a match made in... concrete. Recruiters understand the industry nuances and connect you with roles that align with your aspirations, not just your resume. 3. Save Time and Energy: Job hunting is a time-consuming beast. Recruiters handle the heavy lifting, leaving you free to focus on honing your skills and impressing interviewers. 4. Boost Your Confidence: Recruiters become your career advisor, providing expert interview prep, resume advice, and salary negotiation guidance. Walk into the room feeling empowered and ready to shine. 5. Build Your Network: Construction is all about relationships. Recruiters connect you with key industry players, expanding your network and opening doors to future opportunities. Ready to build a brighter future in construction? Let's chat! Hiring can be very simple! The other week I did a post on ineffective hiring practices and wanted to share with you a nice success story. We recently placed a great Safety role with Gunlake Concrete and Gunlake Quarries. I can safely say, that they followed the right steps and did the simple things very well. When it works it works! ✅ They partnered exclusively and played a game of quality ✅We had deep discussions on the moving parts to tailor the sourcing campaign ✅They were responsive, they set interview times within 24 hours of seeing the CV's ✅ Limited the interviews to 2 (no major delay between them too) ✅They made it a 2-way experience, the candidates felt heard and valued In a lot of ways, it's simple but takes effort. The outcome though is an amazing candidate who is excited to start and all done in under 4 weeks. Take time to stop and think at the start, approach with quality and you get the best results! #recruitment #recruitmentagency #hiring #hrjobs

Client Solutions Manager ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ Connecting the North American Manufacturing, Engineering, and Technical industry with leading talent
MORNING 🗣 Contingent: occurring or existing only if (certain circumstances) are the case; dependent on. "his fees were contingent on the success of his search". When considering whether to use a contingent agency like Novax Recruitment Group, take a look at the reasons why companies and candidates choose to work with us. ⏩ RISK. We only charge a fee to a client for our services upon appointment. Unless a candidate walks through the front door and starts work, the cost to use us is zero dollars. ⏩ KNOWLEDGE. Personally, the steel industry is the only market I work in, spending 40 hours a week integrating with clients, candidates, news, competitors, etc. ⏩ TIME. Allowing us to work side by side with you means an extra set of eyes on open positions. By the law of averages, the more time spent looking for the ideal candidate, the less time the position will be vacant. ⏩ TALENT. Tap into an already qualified network of steelwork and construction candidates, we've already done the hard part. ⏩ CONFIDENTIALITY. In certain cases where companies need to fill sensitive or confidential positions, we act as an intermediary throughout the hiring process. I've found this especially important when considering executive-level positions and candidates. Anyway... if you're looking to hire, or hunting for your next position, get in touch to find out how we can help. ⚙️Dale Roberts🔩Charlotte Cockram William H. 1wIt makes a very strong case for building materials organizations to invest in referral programs if they haven't already. 32% of roles being currently filled through referral is a staggering number when you consider that very few organizations have a structured referral process.
