💡 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞 𝐬𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐟𝐢𝐱𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭? I have had the pleasure and privilege of working with some of the best performing portfolio managers in the realm of Emerging Markets (EM) fixed income. Extraordinary professionals such as Bent Lystbaek, Thomas Haugaard, Jacob Ellinge Nielsen, Sorin Pirău, CFA from Janus Henderson, Soeren Moerch in Danske Bank, Michael Hauch, Soren Bertelsen, and Chresten Hagelund from BankInvest – and many others. Their skill sets are as diverse as their backgrounds, but all share a common denominator. They are Danish! I've also worked with equally talented individuals on the Danish fixed income side, and there is also a wealth of fixed income expertise spread throughout the Danish pension sector. These professionals achieve exceptional results and set global standards for other managers to follow. 🏆 Perhaps their success can be attributed to Denmark's robust educational system, which lays a strong analytical foundation, combined with our sophisticated mortgage bond system. 📚🔗 🏛 This system not only ties deeply into our financial infrastructure but also serves as an effective, real-world training ground for these professionals, equipping them to optimally manage and navigate risks in bond markets. 🌍 I can't say for sure what the secret is, but the results speak for themselves. 👏 If you have a qualified guess, please comment. Well done to all these outstanding professionals for their hard work and dedication. 💪 Thanks to Anne Louise Houmann for picking up the story about #BankInvest's EMCD team. #AssetManagement #Investments #Denmark #EmergingMarkets #FixedIncome #PortfolioManagement #BankInvest

Big Wall Street investment banks and institutional asset managers, the two big players in the leveraged loan and junk bond markets, have something in common: they're losing out on deals to private credit lenders. Barclays has a solution -- teaming up with AGL Credit Management to do direct lending deals together. The tie-up would combine the UK bank’s loan origination capabilities with the credit investing expertise of AGL and would allow both firms to compete more directly with private credit funds. Fascinating story by Allison McNeely, Gillian Tan, and John Sage https://lnkd.in/ePdSZXhM #privatecredit #directlending #leveragedloans #leveragedfinance #highyield #highyieldbonds

Morgan Stanley's asset management division plans to double its private credit portfolio to $50 billion in the medium term by attracting funds from large investors. The bank has already invested over $300 million in the business, which has amassed around $25 billion in assets, primarily from institutional investors. The majority of new capital is expected to come from institutional clients, such as sovereign wealth funds and insurance companies. David Miller estimates the broader private credit market has grown as large as $2tn, with activity surging in the past two years as private lenders including Ares Management Corporation, KKR and Blackstone have moved to provide financing prompted by a drop off in traditional bank syndicated lending. Wall Street banks, however, including Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan, have found ways to participate in the new market by gathering money for loans from investors instead of using their own balance sheets. #investmentmanagement #assetmanagement #privatecredit #privateequity #alternativeinvestments #privatemarkets
