Just as our veterans feel a sense of duty, we feel a sense of duty to them. In support of our veterans and neighbors in Junction City, KS, we recently announced our donation of over 150,000 servings of protein. Geary County, KS experiences the highest rate of child food insecurity and one of the highest rates of overall food scarcity in the state.

Happy Independence Day! As we celebrate our nation's freedom and independence, let's remember that these ideals are best enjoyed by those who are also free from hunger. Hunger limits the ability to pursue education, careers, and personal dreams, hindering true freedom. Feeding America eliminates hunger through a vast network of food banks, providing nutritious food and empowering individuals to fully participate in society. Addressing food insecurity is a matter of justice and equality, essential for upholding our nation's principles. By ensuring no one goes hungry, we create a society where true freedom and independence are possible for all. Gro3X supports this mission by donating $1 for every order received, with each dollar providing 10 meals. Since 2021, Gro3X has provided 110,640 meals, including 14,220 this year alone. Our mission will continue until we have provided at least ONE MILLION MEALS! Let's fight hunger so every American can live with dignity, freedom, and the ability to pursue their dreams. According to Feeding America, more than 44 million people in the U.S. — including 13 million children — are food insecure. The Feeding America network consists of food banks, pantries, meal programs, state associations, and the Feeding America national organization and works together alongside communities to end hunger in America. RSI and DOE Legacy Management contract teaming partners Amentum and TFE are contributing $300,000 to Feeding America to support nine communities adjacent to LM operations. The funds will support nearby food banks in the Feeding America Network. The communities receiving support from the donation include Monongalia and Preston counties, West Virginia; Pinellas County, Florida; Navajo and Coconino counties, Arizona; Grants, New Mexico; San Miguel County, New Mexico; Grand Junction, Colorado; Westminster, Colorado; Hamilton County, Ohio; and St. Charles County, Missouri. #FeedingAmerica

With a looming government shutdown, there will be many low-income families who need to find alternate food sources. Let's Chow was created to support Americans in a time like this. From now until the end of October, we have budgeted $10,000 to support communities in need through our veteran owned businesses. A government shutdown could risk millions of low-income Americans’ access to #food and #nutrition assistance programs. Nearly 7 million women and children who rely on the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) could be at risk of losing assistance almost immediately into a shutdown. Head Start programs serving more than 10,000 disadvantaged children would immediately lose federal funding. Families who receive benefits from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program could also lose assistance if a shutdown drags out for a more significant period of time. You can directly support this initiative by donating just $4 on our website below. Just $4 pays for one hot meal for someone in need. We have already pledged 2,500 meals. Help us add to this to amount and help families affected by the potential shutdown. Take Action — CHOW (letschow.org)

Happy Fall Y'all! As we approach year-end, it is time to start thinking about your tax strategy. Do you know about the Arizona Tax Credit? It's fabulous! You may donate up to $841 (married filing jointly) or $421 (filing individually) to a Qualified Charitable Organization, like Midwest Food Bank. Then, you will receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit on your state taxes. It's a win for you and a win for Midwest Food Bank as we seek to alleviate hunger and malnutrition. https://lnkd.in/gAWd-jYZ
